19.04.2022 What's that creeping around the corner? It's Spring! This is the busiest time for our Emergency Response Service as we receive hundreds of calls per day, many ...about young birds or marsupials that often require assistance. There are however many that just need a watchful eye and to be left under the care of their parents. Check our handy infographic for how to help a baby bird on the ground:

25.01.2022 Just a reminder to everyone we will be closed this Monday 27th January (for the Australia Day public holiday). We are open as normal on all other days.

25.01.2022 COVID-19 Update We are open per normal operating hours. Please see below for some guidelines to help both humans and animals stay safe and healthy.... If your pet needs veterinary attention and: You have been overseas within the last 14days You’re experiencing symptoms Need to self-isolate Please phone us for advice and we can make a plan in line with social distancing / isolation recommendations. We ask you to: Limit the number of people presenting your pet to just one owner When arriving for your appointment, please wait in your car Please enter the clinic at your allotted appointment time Please use hand sanitisers located on reception counter. Please phone ahead to order required prescription medicine repeats or food, worming and flea control in advance so we can arrange to have them ready for you without the need to wait. We are practising social distancing procedures. We are working hard to ensure we can continue to provide veterinary care, within the recommended guidelines and parameters of the COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. This situation is rapidly evolving, and we will provide updates as they become available.

14.01.2022 The AVA is warning pet owners of the health risks posed by lay dental practitioners offering anaesthesia-free dentistry. An increasing number of non-veterinar...y companies are offering cleaning and scaling on conscious pets, but the AVA say the practice does not provide adequate dental care and can be harmful to the animals. | More in our media release: http://ow.ly/U5dW50vjmYj #PetDentalHealthMonth See more

13.01.2022 Please see below for the latest update from the president of the Australian Veterinary Association: There have been two dogs in Hong Kong who have tested positive to COVID-19 This was due to close contact with owners who had COVID-19... Neither of these dogs showed any sign of illness There is no evidence that dogs play any role in human infection If you are in quarantine, please keep your pet with you. However minimize close contact and please wash your hands before and after handling your pet or its food and water bowls If you are COVID-19 positive, showing clinical signs or in self-quarantine and your pet becomes unwell, please contact the clinic by phone. DO NOT attend the clinic without ringing first.

08.01.2022 Just a reminder to everyone we will be closed this Monday 9th March (for the Labour Day public holiday). We are open as normal on all other days.

We will be open but will have minimal services available. Parking will also be limited in the street during this time as a results of the same works, however the 3 car parks immediately in front of the clinic will be available for use. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our patients and clients. Normal service will resume on Saturday 12/10/19.

03.01.2022 We will be open as normal this Saturday 25th April (Anzac Day) - please call us if you would like to book an appointment. Thanks

02.01.2022 Fledgling Magpie Season If you see me on the ground, hold tight, my parents are likely to be somewhere around! They may be out collecting my food or cha...sing away predators that are likely to intrude. Please give them time, and wait and see, they're extremely likely to return to me. As my legs wobble, I clumsily plummet to the ground. I’m just learning my bearings of how to get around. An exciting new world for me to see. Out of the nest and free as can be! Although I may not yet be able to fly, please don’t worry as I’m bound to get by. I can usually flutter and jump to higher ground. I can also communicate with my parents by emitting a sound. If you see me in immediate danger, please help and don’t be a stranger! If I’m injured, I need your assistance. Call your local animal rescue shelter to help secure my existence! Please don’t be tempted to take me home, and try to raise me on your own. I require experienced care, and a nutritious diet like my parents would prepare! I know you mean well, and truly thank you for caring. But when it comes to raising me, even my own parents can find it overbearing! If I’m too young and unable to be returned to my nest, (refer to flowchart) here’s something you can try to ensure I progress... Constructing a makeshift nest is easy as can be. Octopus straps, a hanging basket, leaf litter, then securely hang it up in a tree! Make sure you wait until my mum or dad return. If you see a parent attending to me, then there is no reason for further concern. If you’re EVER in doubt, do not fuss. Ring your local wildlife shelter and they’ll be able to help us!

02.01.2022 Just a reminder of our opening hours over the Christmas holidays!
