21.01.2022 What a Woman Today was Olivia’s last day at The Broken Drum (shut up we aren’t crying you are!), she has been with us since 2016, we can’t calculate the amount of coffee’s she’s made or how many scientific facts we’ve learnt from her, but we know she has worked over 3500 hours and given us so many laughs. She will be well missed by us all. Best of luck Olivia, we were so lucky to have you work in our small business and put in so much heart! 19.01.2022 Meet the crew - This is Cal, he has been with us for 3 years and is lightening quick on the coffee machine and just as quick with a quirky remark or two. Cal’s a local boy and when he’s not pulling shots behind the bar he is in his studio drawing and painting and has plenty of local and international interest in his work @cal_sino His work does come with a MA15+ classification, you’ve been warned. Cal loves coffee, he enjoys his coffee black and has a keen interest in extra...ction and different tasting notes. What else can we say about this guy, there’s many words that come to mind but we’ll leave you with not one, but a heap of photos to help you decide how best to describe the indescribable. Her go to coffee is an almond flat white. As well as working with us she has her own photography business, capturing life’s special moments @elizajade Running her own small business and working in ours, sheesh she is a true gem. Thanks for always brightening our day

11.01.2022 Meet the crew - This is Olivia. She started working with us back in 2016. And apart from a few trips o/s we have been lucky to have her here dancing, singing and pouring killer swans for almost 4 years and counting. Her go to coffee is an oat milk Cappuccino followed by a Long black. Ask her anything about coffee and she’ll have an answer, her coffee knowledge is excellent. She can see the light at the end of her Bachelor of Science course, majoring in Biology and her dream is to have her own flower farm one day. We love having Olivia around she brightens all our days with a mix of geeky science facts and her awesome personality x

08.01.2022 Meet the crew - This is Lucy, she’s been with us for a year and a half now. It’s been great seeing Lucy come out of her shell and see her confident grow over this time. Lucy is currently studying biology and journalism at Wollongong Uni and when she’s not studying or taking your order at The BD she leads a very busy life. She writes and helps with distribution of the totally awesome Coal Coast mag, she works as a swimming instructor at Beaton park and also finds time to pour drinks at Moomin Bar & Kitchen on the weekends.
