05.01.2022 Andy representing The Broken Spoke at the Tamworth Mountain Bikers 3hr race. Andy was racing the 2020 Trek Rail 9.7 Ebike. He knew that power management would be critical. Switching between EMTB and ECO Mode worked well and he managed to get just on 3hrs and 50km out of the battery. Sadly that left him 8 km short of the last lap. That made for a very slow last lap time, as pedalling that 8km with no power was hard and interesting. Andy Finished 1st in the ebike class and ove...rall 3rd after leading most of the day. Only to be hauled in on that fateful last no power 8km. He did try hard though to take the outright win. Andy still managed to finish with a smile on his dial.
