17.01.2022 HOW TO AVOID THE FAKES If you join a group like Facebook Ad Hacks looking for someone to help you with your Facebook ads be very careful of who you choose. 1. Someone with the name Swastika would raise some alarm bells for me, but its important not to judge on names alone so do some digging. ... 2. Tap on their profile picture in the comments and it will open their Facebook profile and tell you when they joined the group. In this case it was 1 month ago, which makes we wonder how experienced they would be. 3. Are they professional? A profile image that looks like a modelling shot and a cover image that looks like theyre in bed is enough to walk away from this one. Stay safe in real life and online!

17.01.2022 THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Last night I was excited to leave the house knowing that I had hit my fundraising goal of $2,000 thanks to you wonderful people. What I wasnt excited about was leaving the warmth and comfort of my house and bed to spend the night sleeping in my car in the cold. I packed up my sleeping bag and a single pillow and changed into warmer clothes that included a long-sleeve t-shirt and a super warm hoodie to complement my flannel pyjama pants (they always do a ...good job of keeping me warm). I said goodnight to Taasha and her best friend and kissed Liz goodnight as I headed out to my car. This would be the first time Ive ever slept in the back of a car. I folded the back seats forward and laid out my sleeping bag so that I would be sleeping in the boot and on the back seats which seemed easy enough, until I realised I still had to get inside the car and close the doors behind me securely. I have a bad leg from an old motorbike accident which means I cant kneel or sit on the ground because getting up is a nightmare, now that the seats were folded down it was too high to get into the car from the passenger door and I had to climb in backwards through the boot. I laid there for a moment after closing the boot behind me, uncomfortable, tired, cold and in that moment I experienced a small taste of what it must feel like for those that have to do that every night. The difference here is that I was only going to do it for one night and for that I felt grateful. I adjusted my sleeping position trying (unsuccessfully) to find a comfortable spot and then folding my single pillow over to make it feel like two, I looked out the window into the dark night sky and thought how hard this must be for homeless families. A single mother, or father, with one, or a couple, of kids. It must be so hard, so demoralising, so absolutely heartbreaking. I rolled over, had a sip of water and found the least uncomfortable spot and eventually fell asleep. Not for long though.
