24.01.2022 There hasn't been much rain here in Brisbane for the past few weeks so to remind you of the joy of jumping in puddles here is a little song I made up as my children were playing in the rain a couple of years ago. It's called 'Make My Rainy Day' and I hope to record it on an album of children's songs some day soon.

19.01.2022 Who's played Peekaboo with their baby? It's a game that absolutely delights babies and toddlers and helps us share those very special giggles with our little ones. It also helps babies understand the concept of object permanence - that even when you cannot see an object (or mummy/daddy) it is still there. There is so much wonderful learning involved in this activity and when you add singing, it makes it even more special!

16.01.2022 Since having your baby have you had any of these thoughts I can’t sing, I sound terrible or I can't read music I don’t know the words to nursery rhymes or I know music is important but I don’t know how to do music with my baby.. 11.01.2022 Just 3 years old... but that is a big talent!!!

10.01.2022 I've just uploaded 'Bubbles Everywhere' to my Youtube channel. I wrote this song and sang it with my girls when they were babies. Sing along and lift your baby gently up and down. The actions and the lyrics will help teach your baby the words 'up' and 'down'.

10.01.2022 The Bubble Box community is growing internationally! I am very pleased to be involved as a speaker in an online event in Russia happening right now called the 'Play English Conference'. This conference is all about teaching English to young children and as many of you who've read my blogs and posts about music before already know....music is an amazing teaching tool for young children. Musical activities are the perfect way to teach a foreign language as they help to prepare ...the ear and brain for sound, exercise the brain building neural pathways and connections (which is great for all learning) and they are a fun way for children to learn! I will post more about this later with some snippets of my video presentation. But for now I just want to say thank you to Daria Rudnik for inviting me to be a part of the conference and to extend a big welcome to all the parents from Russia who are joining The Bubble Box! 02.01.2022 Oh dear... small problem with this packaging!

01.01.2022 Spring is here (in Australia!) and so are the bees. Our backyard is abuzz with them as they happily suck pollen from the clover. Oh what amazing and important creatures bees are...which is why I adapted the original version of the rhyme 'I'm Bringing Home a Baby BumbleBee' so that poor baby bumblebee doesn't get squished!!! This is a fun rhyme with actions you can do with your baby...perhaps after a lovely Spring visit to the park. https://youtu.be/Dn3RQqb0sSw
