24.01.2022 Not going to get much water in the tank from this gutter. Rusting was caused by a build up of gum leaves. Replacing gutters $$$, cleaning gutters regularly..$0

24.01.2022 Hollowed out paint tins used as formwork and filled with concrete to make a concrete stump. "They don't build em like they used too."

22.01.2022 Ummm, the air conditioner may need a service!!!

22.01.2022 Heater/cooler ducting falling apart. Very common in older homes and this means the heated/cooled air is escaping into the roof space and is not going into the home. These ducts need to be replaced.

19.01.2022 If your heating or cooling isn't working as it used to then maybe you should check the ducting. Ducting coming apart/not connected properly is a common fault and means your heat or cool air is escaping into the ceiling, costing you money.

19.01.2022 Ceiling linings about ready to collapse as the ceiling joist have been eaten away by termites and are no longer able to support the ceiling.

17.01.2022 Rust and mold inside a laundry trough cupboard. Most likely caused by a leaking PVC drainage fitting.

17.01.2022 This picture is of a single skin wood heater flue located in a cupboard and used as a laundry drying area. This flue will get very hot and if the washing touches the flue there is a potential for combustion.

17.01.2022 Floor tile used to cover a hole in the flooring. Not a good idea. It could easily break if weight is applied in the wrong manner and injury could occur

16.01.2022 Someone really wanted to get into this garage.

16.01.2022 Broken asbestos cement sheet cladding. This needs to be attended too as the edges contain loose asbestos fibres

16.01.2022 Insulation laid in this manner with gaps and bare areas of the ceiling is completely ineffective and will be adding to heating/cooling costs.

16.01.2022 Gas hot water service enclosed in a small shed!! When water is heater this unit will give out toxic fumes and when these are not vented to clear air, as in this case, these fumes could potentially be dangerous to anyone entering the enclosed shed.

14.01.2022 I've never come across this type of damage before. PVC downpipe fitting deliberately burnt off. Disgruntled ex tenant maybe??

14.01.2022 We get to see some pretty ordinary houses sometimes. These pictures of a shower and the ceiling above it need no explanation.

13.01.2022 Patching and painting at the bottom of the bathroom door jamb is a good indication that there is/has been a shower leak and further investigation is needed

13.01.2022 Blocked gutters and valleys, tiles slipping out of place, all can lead to water spilling into the ceiling or eave areas.

11.01.2022 I'm thinking this air conditioner needs some love and attention.

11.01.2022 Gaps at the top of timber stumps means no support and the stump needs to be replaced.

11.01.2022 This dodgy repair to weatherboards on a gable was allowing stormwater to leak onto the plaster ceiling below

10.01.2022 Something tells me this guy liked his XXXXgold.

10.01.2022 Timber flooring out of level usually indicates stumping issues. In this case rot to timber stumps.

08.01.2022 Water leaking into a laundry cabinet has rotted the laminex top and has also lead to mould forming in the cabinet and probably the wall behind.

07.01.2022 UFFI foam insulation is very crumbly and soft. It is very easy to break off a section of this foam with your hand using almost no pressure at all - the foam is very fragile and very messy and dusty.

06.01.2022 The bottom chord of this roof truss has been cut to allow for the installation of the vulcan heater flue. This is a definite no, no and could lead to structural failure of the roof truss.

05.01.2022 A notice about a product we should all be aware of and know what precautions to take when we come in contact with this type of sheeting.

05.01.2022 All the windows in this home were screwed shut for security. Works well unless the burglar breaks the glass or kicks in the door.

04.01.2022 More evidence of why you should have regular termite inspections

04.01.2022 Really don't think I need to say too much about this other than "severe foundation movement."

03.01.2022 Blocked gutters can lead to a myriad of problems such as deterioration of the eave linings and underlying timber members.

03.01.2022 A most unusual bit of timber framing, a car jack and steel post supporting the ridge.

02.01.2022 This broken earthenware pipe is leaking sewer water into the sub-floor area this could lead to health and structural problems.

02.01.2022 Thank goodness we don't use this stuff anymore!!!

01.01.2022 These weatherboards are all wrinkly as they are completely hollow...eaten away by termites
