09.01.2022 Ive really missed my desk at The Bureau this past week, while Ive been home with my kids. Ive been trying, mostly unsuccessfully, to work between managing a 2, 6 and 8 year old - all with different needs (and personalities!). Its made me realise why I started the office space and how much I need it for mental health, productivity and the feeling of being part of a community. Ive put my heart and soul into creating this special space and I didnt realise how valuable it i...s, until this crisis we face. With this in mind, Ive taken the below measures to ensure people feel safe and have somewhere to come if they still need to be mentally sane and productive: * no new members, only regulars who I will personally interrogate about travel (bit hard these days!) or been in contact with anyone who has been ill * less desks, Ive reduced the amount of desks so everyone has 6-8sqm between them * Ive always had hand sanitiser and I am big on cleaniness (the office is commercially cleaned everything week) * no glasses or mugs to be supplied anymore, please bring your own * above all, dont be a dick. If youre sick, please stay home * we have the benefit of being a small, heavily controlled space with legendary and extremely sensible and professional members. I miss our banter! Im at home for another week with my kids, until then Im jealous of anyone who gets to work at #thebureauspace #supportlocal See more

No-shows and late cancellations impact greatly on our ability to provide a high quality service, by taking away an available desk for others. #thebureauspace
