13.01.2022 The cost of menstruation! In Australia the average woman spends an average of $360 in a 3 year period on feminine hygiene products. In the remote hills of Nepal, the cost of menstruation results in girls and women missing 5 days of schooling/month, 25% of their annual education is missed. ... These women lose equal education opportunities. We are determined to give the girls and women the same opportunities as the boys and men. #equality #equaleducation #equalopportunities Equal opportunities for the girls and women comes at a cost of $13.50, which provides a feminine hygiene kit which lasts 3 years. The kits are hygienic, sustainable, environmentally friendly, reusable, and they are made in Nepal by Nepalese women for Nepalese women. The kits are delivered by foot to the remote regions of Nepal by local Nepalese community nurse who provide education on feminine hygiene practises, sexual health, women's health and appropriate kit use. $13.50 literally gives 1 girl or women the chance to complete their schooling, get a education and have the same opportunities in life as the boys and men. 10.01.2022 CURRENT UPDATE, After returning from Nepal in February we had made a promise to get 5000 Personal Hygiene Pad packs for the teenage girls in the remote mountains of Nepal. And them Covid, but with you amazing people, some that have supported this project now for over a decade and many new supporters we are slowly getting there,. Currently we have raised $19000 since our return, and I had $8000 put away, that's $27,000 enough for 2000 Pad Packs, Now Nepal has be...en in serious lockdown for a few months, similar to Victoria so really nothing can happen at the moment. I also have my fingers in a few pies, but money is tight. Once we start production it will be around 4 to 6 months to actually get the pad packs to the girls. So really this is just a update and a big thank you to all that have helped, it really renewed my faith in the kindness of so many people. Worst case scenario is 2000 girls will have dignity and self worth for the first time..Thank you all and I will keep you all posted. See more

08.01.2022 Dad was recently interviewed by Triple H 100.1 FM about the Nepal project, past and present. Click the link below and have a listen "Following a trek to Nepal in 2006, Sydney butcher Allan Waldon witnessed significant poverty and hardship and determined to help rebuild a local school which was small, damp and totally lacking in any resources. He raised money to get the project going by collecting donations at his butcher's shop in exchange for dog bones. This led to endors...ement by Rotary and has now made a huge difference to the education of children in this remote part of Nepal. But that's not all. Allan is now raising funds to buy sanitary kits to prevent girls and their female teachers from missing out on education. An inspiring story" Rotary Matters https://soundcloud.com//building-a-school-with-butchers-bo

05.01.2022 Wishing all of our amazing followers and supporters a very Happy New Year. This time last year Dad and I were finalising any last details getting ready for our trip to Nepal. None of us were prepared for the year of 2020! We achieved alot in 2020, we provided menstrual education and reusable menstrual kits to over 100 girls and women in the remote hills of Nepal. ... We have been overwhelmed with all your donations, support and interest in our project over the last year. The project continues to be a success, and we wouldn't have made it this far without your donations and support, no matter how big or small, it all makes a difference You can read more about the current project here : https://www.sambhavnepal.org/project/personal-hygiene-kits/ DONATIONS Pad kits cost about $13.50 ea. These can be made direct by EFT: Bendigo Bank Nepal School Project Fund Account. BSB 633 000 Account number 129 033 254

05.01.2022 At long last after a very tough year we have started on the rollout of around 2500 Personal HYGIENE PAD PACKS for teenage school girls and their female teachers in the Remote mountains of the Himalayas in Nepal. Previously these girls simply missed school, so this simple pack is life changing, reusable, substainable, and Hygienic. It's been a long road and we currently have $27500AU and are currently subbmitting our project to the Nepal SWC, ( social welfare council). In...itially we had planned to do 5000 kits, but with covid and the monsoon season in Nepal we have made the decision to make it a two stage plan and get these into the community. Again I would like to thank everyone who as helped. you have been fantastic in what is probably the hardest year in our lives to date.It would not be possible to do this without your help. I will keep you posted. See more
