21.01.2022 "Back in the old days".Some things just never change. Quite amazing.

20.01.2022 We maybe down but we are not out. In saying that though, times are extremely tough. Kuranda is only a a fraction of what it was. Lots of shops have been forced to throw the towel in and the few remaining are only operating at a fraction of their capacity.Some markets are only open 4 out of the 7 days. Even the local bus only offers 2 transfers to Cairns per day. The Kuranda scenic train is back to its normal time table but how long for if only 1/2 dozen people use it? Appare...ntly it will be a long time before Skyrail resumes as they need 500 people a day or so to break square and with well under 100 visitors to Kuranda a day at present,I do not like their chances until at least next school holidays. Oh boy,what does one do? We still manage to get a few bookings here and there,but it does get disheartening when you do not get anyone set foot in your shop for over a week at times. Thank goodness for the few that do and keep us going.We thank them for their support. See more

20.01.2022 A picture tells a thousand words.Went to check up on our shop for the 1st time in 7 weeks,So sad to see our mad rushing ant hill look like a ghost town.We are going to need a lot of support from locals and visitors alike once we re-open , if we re-open.

19.01.2022 Come and support the locals,we are re-opening this Saturday the 27th June and will be looking forward to guide you the right way even though activities are going to be very limited as will the numbers, cause it ain't over till it's over. (nor are we)

18.01.2022 Kuranda ,a destination to put on your bucket list when visiting FNQ , and you can do it at a very affordable price. Did you know you could visit Kuranda by catching the scenic train for only $50 one way or $76 return and even less if you are a pensioner. There are 2 trains daily that come up in the morning leaving Cairns central shopping centre at 8.30am and 9.30am and returning from Kuranda at 2pm or 3.30pm arriving back in Cairns Central at 3.55pm and 5.25pm respectively.... Should you wish to catch the local Trans North bus one way or return,the ticket price is only $6.90 one way. In other words you could have a sensational experience including the Scenic train for less than $60 per person.Whilst in Kuranda come and discover all our attractions,rainforest, markets ,river cruises, birdworld,the koala park,the butterfly sanctuary, rainforeststation, the various colorful markets,the coffee shops and eateries,specialty and novelty shops and so,so,so much more. At our "The Buzz tour bookings" shop we will offer you the best possible guidance and prices on any other activities from the reef to skydiving and anything in between. 09.01.2022 The Green Island Ferry service.Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, this service has now been cancelled and is not expected to resume until June at the earliest. Please take care and see you at the other end.

It is sad to see the demise of tourism in general for a part of the world that relies so heavily on the tourism dollar. 05.01.2022 As the Kuranda rail will recommence their full working timetable on Saturday the 27th of June it will be our duty to re-open our little shop to provide advice on whatever activities are available. Some operators have restarted some of their products with limited numbers,some will be restarting in the not too distant future and unfortunately some have fallen by the wayside. As local agents, we will be relying on YOUR support and will endeavour to bring you the best deals and i...nformation possible on whatever is available at the time. As restrictions ease,certain tours will be reinstated in other words it will be a day to day timetable as the circumstances change for the better. 03.01.2022 Greetings to all of you reading this notification. Well as anticipated, The Buzz Tour Bookings has gone into self ordered hibernation and rest as this dreaded enemy has completely paralyzed our tourism industry. Without the tourists there is no "US",so for now it is until next time we meet again. We appreciate all the support we have been given over the years by the various tour operators with a very special thank you to the mighty Quicksilver Group. We are sure that the ligh...t at the end of tunnel is not an oncoming train and that we will all be back in business sooner or later.Lets just pray it is sooner rather than later.In the meantime look after each other,take care of each other and try to remember all the good times we have had in the past,for they will come back.
