18.01.2022 I am so grateful for all your messages of love and support from my last post...this evening I have just had an unexpected surgery on my left hand...the one I create with I have such compassion for those living with chronic pain after experiencing an injury this week that left me in quite a lot of pain. I have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions: how do I paint and draw? How do I teach? I’ve just opened the new studio, I am disappointing so many people...etc, etc. Ev...erything happens for a reason/lesson and I know I needed to slow down. I am so very grateful for my dear friend Becky for taking care of me and manifesting a brilliant surgeon via her wonderful friend, for Salenas distant healing, for Mal just always being a rock, for my Ma’s prayers and my sons’ love, and for all your support - all your messages and offer of love and help is truly heartwarming So now it’s a matter of taking a few days off to nurture and be grateful for all that I have right now Thank you again; as always your support really does mean everything to me Oh, and our darling cat Alec hasn’t left my side My finger is saved and I am truly grateful

17.01.2022 Three years ago: I just found these on my phone (amongst 16,000 other images ) and I wanted to share my first ever watercolour ‘experiments’ I did with actual watercolour paints (and not pencils). As you can see I went a wee bit crazy with the colours but I knew from this moment on I was hooked Three years ago and I was basically scared of these paints I’d only ever used watercolour pencils and even then that was 27 years previously.... Yes, I’ve been using acrylics and loved sketching but to see how the watercolour flowed on the page was a marvel....EVERY TIME I drop that paint in the water I am in awe I only used ‘cheapie’ brushes and paints as I wasn’t too confident with my abilities (it’s the Scottish and Virgo in me ). I’ve been painting with it constantly ever since and now I teach watercolours and sell my artwork - dreams do come true So if you are hesitating in trying out something new, just give it a go as you just don’t know where it can lead to (and I was 43 years old) With love and creative joy Sandy xxx

14.01.2022 Hosting well over 30 classes this month of September and I am a wee bit tired...BUT extremely fulfilled and grateful and I needed to practise what I preach: creating calm. . So after my last class for the month I googled images to inspire me and up popped the most divine photo (unfortunately photographer unknown/not credited) but I was completely inspired by a piece of black card I had, my gouache paints and this stunning restaurant in London @50cheyne in #chelsealondon h...ow beautiful is it? Oh my...the sheer curtains, window box, colour . It’s just a little quick painting but it got me out of my head and into my heart, and as with all things I paint I endeavour to visit there one day . Who’d like to learn how to do building facades? They are so satisfying especially in this quaint way . Thank you so much for your support this month - I am extremely grateful to everyone who visited my studio, attended classes and said hello . Here’s to a relaxing and rejuvenating Sunday for us all . Big hugs Sandy xxx See more

Look into your eyes daily and see just how truly beautiful you are...not only will you benefit but so too will those around you #loveyourselffirst

So many beautiful creative women I was able to interview that inspire me from around the world I’ve t...agged them all and I encourage you to check out their wonderful work . 05.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS: So I am running a wee bit behind again for getting this months ‘October In Bloom’ schedule out but I’ve got a good excuse...I promise! . September was HUGE (over 30 classes) but I’ve also got some VERY exciting news...we are getting a NEW STUDIO....eeeek!!! . Lots to do! Lots of murals and floors to paint! And we will have an art shop in the new premises so there’s been lots of art stock piling! ... . The new studio is still in the beautiful @visitsanctuarycove village - in fact, it’s just around the corner - and I just know you’ll love it! . It’s for our community to create, gather, find comfort and company . And we are planning a wee party to celebrate . I’ll keep you posted . In the meanwhile, I’ll get the October schedule up in the next couple of days See more
