25.01.2022 Do you miss me? I sure as hell miss you!! Sending lots of hang-in-there vibes to our friends and couples in Victoria. Lockdown 2.0 is the pits. We’re ready for you when you’re out of woods. Stay strong.

16.01.2022 Byron Bay put on a spectacular afternoon for a small private gathering at Belongil last Sunday - it was wonderful to see some familiar faces through the hatch and get the old girl out on the field again. Thanks for having us! That crisp winter sky beautifully captured by @emmallane Delicious catering by @onegreenacre_ ... 06.01.2022 Open for business! We’re doing our first (intimate) gig tomorrow for a local crew and we couldn’t be more pleased to see our little hatch open up again.

04.01.2022 Social distancing. As necessary as it is/was, there's something about that term that makes me feel, well, yuck. I love hugs and high fives and close-talking and all the things that we're not supposed to be doing right now. It's hard enough to control myself in regular 'hey how ya going' at the market moments, so how the f**k am I supposed to control 50+ semi-drunk wedding guests who are caught up in a love bubble from not spreading more than just good vibes?! A lot of this is... out of my control as our service is just one of many at a wedding - but it does beg the question - whose responsibility is it? Here's a little sketch I did that outlines the key touchpoints during drinks service. The bits in green are low-risk (the part that we have control over), and the bits in red are where there's more risk of transmission. In a nutshell, it's what happens once you get your drinks where the real risk lies, so Adam and I are brainstorming ways to make drink 'ownership' more obvious and well, fun (watch this space). I do think if we all do our bit (guests included), we can make weddings safe and keep the events industry in our region in business. If you have any concerns (or ideas) about how to tackle this challenge, we’d love to hear from you too!

03.01.2022 Adam’s been making the most of this pandemic-enforced downtime... Just delivered six of these stunning hardwood timber outdoor tables to @threeblueducks @thefarmatbyronbay Such a clever fella! I’m a pretty proud wifey.
