14.01.2022 COMMUNITY NOTICE Due to COVID-19, The Caves Showgrounds were closed in March, and continue to be closed to ALL campers and vehicles until further notice. Locals are welcome to use the walking paths for exercise and are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to the Committee or to Police.

09.01.2022 The Caves Group Training Sessions will commence on Wednesday 15 July in the Pavilion. 6pm DanceFit - strength, coordination, and dance moves for all ages - fitness aspects of dance & require dumbbells or equivalent eg: 2L milk bottles filled with water Participants to bring own towels. ... The sessions are $10 per session per person (cash only as no eftpos facilities) to be handed to instructor at the beginning of sessions. Bookings must be made no later than the Monday before the class. With Covid-19 restrictions are in place and everyone is welcome to attend. 02.01.2022 THE CAVES SHOW POSTPONED Due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic and the risk it poses to many members of our community, the committee of The Caves Progress & Agricultural Society Inc has decided to postpone our Show, which was planned for 26 April 2020, to a date later in the year. We will do our best to find a suitable date later in the year that doesn’t clash with another show that is already scheduled. Like many Show Societies, our annual show is our primary source of inc...ome and covers the cost of our insurance each year (& unfortunately not much more than that), so as a Society, we will be taking stock and re-evaluating our priorities for the coming year, so keep an eye out for us as we may come back with something amazing once the worst passes. The Show Committee will be in contact with all our wonderful sponsors, judges and volunteers, but please pass the word around. The Caves Plant swap planned for this weekend will still be going ahead. We made this decision as we understand that many in our area have lost their gardens from drought and bushfires, its also giving some green therapy to anyone who may need to socially isolate in the coming months. Gardening is good for the soul & a great way to keep yourself occupied Whether we will hold the Easter disco will be decided at our general meeting next week. We will look to the community to guide us on this one. Planning for our Rodeo in September is still going full steam ahead & we will make this one to remember & a great night out for the community. Please look after your families and neighbours, and follow all recommendations to reduce the speed of transmission of novel coronavirus.
