22.01.2022 Just like in the Wizard of Oz at the end of the yellow brick road, its time to draw back the curtains to reveal the wizard behind The Cheeky Project..ME so if are an avid lover of my chocolate, please keep reading. I started this chocolate journey by chance, I never knew it would turn into a full-time business, it all came out of my personal quest to find quality chocolate that was delicious, made with wholesome ingredients and fit with my growing list of dietary restrict...ions. I couldnt find a product on the market that ticked all those boxes, so in 2016 I stepped into the kitchen and started creating recipes myself. Fast forward to 2020 and I still lovingly make every piece of chocolate by hand using the best ingredients I can find, always high quality, ethically sourced and organic, where possible. Every filling and flavour has been: researched and designed to create the healthiest version possible made from scratch in small batches fresh every week then packed and shipped to straight to you

14.01.2022 GRIEF // a guest on a podcast I was listening to yesterday spoke about using two questions to connect with the people in our lives: What is your grief? and What is your joy? With everything that is going on in the world right now, there has been much talk about a sense of collective grief. This resonates so strongly with me, and I felt called to share whats been coming up for me as grief has been coming up strongly for me lately, both old and fresh. And instead of running... away from it, like I have for the last 39 years, Ive been leaning into it Grief is not limited to the physical: people, places, things, but is also connected to the non-physical - change, moments, behaviours, identity, connections. Most surprising for me is when it comes up for beliefs or habits that Ive held on to, especially the ones that havent helped me and even worse, have hurt me. They became old friends, familiar, safe and it hurts to let them go, even though I know theyre not serving me. Change is difficult, uncomfortable, painful, but necessary for growth and expansion Im learning to embrace the discomfort, surrendering to the gifts it brings and finding forgiveness and love for myself and my imperfections. Its okay to be right where I am now, to start from where I am at Some of my favourite resources that are helping me move through my grief: my inner circle, getting out in nature, music, cuddles with the furbabies, meditation, audiobooks - On Grief and Grieving by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler and Letting Go by David R. Hawkins, The Pathway Program by @tobemagnetic , all of the work by @brenebrown , the Mark Groves Podcast and of course, seeking professional help What are some of your favourites? 09.01.2022 PODCAST // For anyone who is interested in hearing a different perspective on viruses, the immune system, the environment, how COVID fits with all of this and how we move forward, give this podcast episode a listen. The show host, Mark Groves, is one of my favourite humans. A human connection specialist, he embodies expanding your awareness and navigating new information while maintaining your sense of self. I must have listened to this episode 5 times since it was released, ...because it just blew my mind open. As the show description says, its not for the faint of heart so dive in with an open heart and an open mind. Dr Zach Bush has a way of conveying complex concepts in a way that we can all get it. Whether or not you accept his views is up to the individual but I have great respect for his approach to change and enjoyed his perspective. One of my favourite concepts is his mission to shift the world from an oil economy to soil economy. Listen right to the end for his take on connecting more deeply with each other and context around posing: What is your grief and what is your joy? I hope you get as many lightbulb moments from this podcast episode as I did.
