25.01.2022 New leather arrived yesterday. I was really inspired when I saw the sample. So many options! Many options driven by the fact that it’s double sided so I have the ability to not have to line it. ... It’s a beef hide, meaning there’s some decent size to it. I know it will make a fabulous Small Chopper or Tote. They’re the obvious choices for me. If you’re inspired, let me know what you need! Then, if I were you, I would make sure I had a matching passport wallet or pocket purse or Vicky Clutch to ensure we made the most of the matchy but unique factor.

24.01.2022 A sneak peek at what I’m working on tomorrow. I have a new colour of Chopper Leather and I’m not afraid to use it! A Small Chopper in terracotta canvas (not usually on the menu). A Small Chopper of golden brindle cowhide - a special cut I took from the hide because it’s just right for a small bag and has an interesting swirl in just the right spot. Lastly I will make a Medium Tote with floral embossed leather. All bags combined with the new leather on the base and handles (b...adges pictured are that colour) All work is off the make schedule so they’ll all be available for immediate purchase when I’m done.....unless I can’t let go of the floral tote...it’s going to be really really amazing. Expressions of interest welcome.

23.01.2022 So this is a little custom job I did a few weeks ago. Received the idea from a good wife that knew she needed the quality version of a great idea. I got the gig! Yay me! Of course I tweaked the design to do what I thought it should. Size closed is 25cm wide and 20 cm tall with a depth of about 7 cm. Fits more than you might think! I used quality materials so the finished product has that great solid feel and will last a really long time with minimal maintenace. It’s done it...’s first trip already and got the tick of approval. My husband wants one too! I may do a run of them for Christmas. I got brave and engraved it after it was complete. So I could make them and personalise them for gifts later.

23.01.2022 These two made it through the night. They’re totally ready to head off to a new home. I’m in a phase of making things I don’t usually make, or can’t make again. Without the in workshop consultations happening like usual, I’m going to my stash of all the best bits and making them into the best bags I can imagine. Hopefully one really jumps out at you and you can make it your own, or drop some unsubtle hints to those looking for gifts for you this year.

23.01.2022 It’s been a looong day, but Proper Prior Preparation .....you know the rest. The last bag is Stitch Perfect! Came together so well. The sky blue thread has it feeling super crisp and it’s just a Devine tote. It really is. ... I carried the sky blue thread into a feature stitch for the lining. There’s all the pockets inside and a matching keyring/tag and pocket purse. Because it needs it. This tote is now listed in the shop. I hope I gave everyone fair warning that it was being finished up tonight. Whoever secures this baby will not be disappointed. It’s really a keeper, but I’m telling myself I can’t keep them all. **Now sold**

22.01.2022 There is ALWAYS a Chopper Bag in production. At some stage of completion, or heading out. Yesterday I added another four to the already full batch to get on their way. There’s large, small, tote and some with every accessory, some straight off the plan, others with monogram. It’s a complete range in one batch. I love the variety. ... It’s been six years since I started this journey on crafting The Chopper Bag product as the next craftswoman. There is not a single day I have looked back. I love the product, the customers are amazing. The honour of being the only person in the world making this product is humbling. It’s never supposed to be a mass produced product. You won’t find the product in stores with retail mark up. You’ll only ever order from the lady that makes them. That’s the whole package. Not just a product, it’s a family, it’s a rare experience and quite addictive by all accounts.

19.01.2022 I had a super productive week. Many many bags going to various celebrations and some milestone gifts. This mediumtote is going to work for a Chopper Bag family and step in as the latest acquisition to let the original tote have a rest. Because it hasn’t had a rest for two and a half years! Constructed from a chocolate brown leather with the black and white speckle feature panel. Combined with silver fittings. Of course it has a monogram too. I love the way the brown stitch ...just slightly pops in the photo. Fitted out with all the pockets, and some. It’s ready for work and I’m sure this weekend will give it a great initiation.

19.01.2022 I had occasion to build a beautiful travel set and finished them today. I tasked myself with building the quintessential Chopper Bag combo of colour and product. So I made a Large, Small and briefcase format Tote all in whisky and navy. The tote is lined in navy too. Classic Chopper colour combo and glammed up with a blue feature stitch. These bags will all be in stock ready for dispatch, buy separately or together.

15.01.2022 I think it’s knock-off time now. The time got away from me to get this one finished. Tomorrow it will be done for sure. Just like you, I have dreams of new bags with new leather and my preference of combinations. But unlike you, I can sneak a bag to two into the schedule and make them come to life! This is one such bag. It’s a Regular Tote. Made with all black leather. There’s three kinds of leather in this bag, they blend and do their jobs well. The wide feature panel leat...her is a lovely Japanese embossed suede. It feels like velvet, it’s luscious. It’s beef hide though, so there’s beauty and braun in this one. I’ll get this little beauty finished tomorrow. It’s going to be available for purchase too. So I guess if you love it already, give me a shout, or stay tuned and let me know if she’s yours when the finished product goes live.

Monogramming covered with the logo This colour/materials combo for the regular tote is very popular and I can’t disagree, it’s one of the best looks for this design. 07.01.2022 I was excited to get to the workshop today and work on these bags. I did a lot of prep yesterday. In days previous I pondered the combinations I would first make to present the new Coffee coloured Chopper Leather to you. This combo was chosen because they do justice to eachother. The hair on hide piece was truely the pick of the hide for a small bag and I stashed it for just the right day to bring it to life. ... The coffee leather has been a treat to work with. 03.01.2022 Another awesome bag made with the new Coffee coloured leather. The canvas is a dusty orange/terracotta colour that was really popular in first generation bags. Mainly because back then there was a leather colour like this new coffee one and I feel like that’s what it works with best. 03.01.2022 As suspected, this tote design also makes a great briefcase! Shortened handles and a custom interior and it’s ready for work tomorrow. This is part of the work kit I have been building for my husband. He has a Small Chopper in this colour spec and the new briefcase fits with the roll he is in for work now too. ... The leather on the body of this bag, and his Small Chopper is not one I ‘enjoy’ working with. It’s so tough, bulletproof maybe, very unforgiving. It’s perfection, or nothing. It just won’t give. It’s hard on the tools and tests my skill the whole way. Fortunately it also gives the finished product all the characteristics you love from your day use luggage. So never mind the extra work for me, it’s worth it. This one came together great and I think the orange interior is particularly stellar.
