24.01.2022 There a many claims that drinking warm lemon water on waking in the morning aids in helping you achieve better digestion, liver detoxification, clear skin and immunity against colds and flu. There are also many claims that drinking warm lemon water in the morning does absolutely nothing to help you achieve these above mentioned health benefits! So why did I return to my old habit of lemon water on waking this morning? 23.01.2022 We’re at the half way mark on the #cutthebschallenge and I have spent the first half building the members knowledge about the importance of Macro nutrients and how they are the building blocks to our general health and performance in life. For the second half of the challenge, I will be educating the challenge members with the beliefs and knowledge I have on Micronutrients! May sound tricky but it is not. Eat a varied in colour plant based diet and you’re most of the way ther...e!! Take my purple food inspired Nori roll lunch for example. Spinach, egg white, avocado with purple onion, purple sweet potato, and purple basil flowers! Deliciously fragrant and textural as well as colourful and yummy! Purple fruits and vegetables are rich in anthocyanins, which are natural plant pigments that provide foods with their unique colour! 18.01.2022 The only difficult, or should I say challenging part of any body transformation type challenge, is actually owning the responsibility of making the time to look after yourself! My work lunches haven’t looked this good in a while! It takes commitment and preparation! #selflove This is a perfectly, nutritionally balanced meal. It’s challenging fitting it all in! Now that my body is fuelled properly, it won’t be searching for nutrition until well into the late afternoon! Stop the aimless snacking on nutritionally void junky convenient ‘food like’ products and start eating real food! Food is not the enemy, you are! Time to look after you! 12.01.2022 What even is the art, of this so called intuitive eating actually mean? #intuitiveeating has popped up as the new ‘buzz’ word in the health and fitness world lately. Intuitive eating is pretty much a term used for being naturally aware of how to incorporate nutritional balance into your daily meals and snacks. It also defines ones awareness on exactly how much their body needs of any one macro nutrient group at any one time. Sounds confusing, I know. It does take a while t...o build this ‘intuition’ but like any new skill or habit, you need to start somewhere. My lunch today is exactly what I need! Protein rich red salmon, fibre filled spinach, avocado’s healthy fats and oils and the important quality carbohydrates found in a healthy whole grain like brown rice. All this adds to the energy my body needs to burn this food and turn it into afternoon fuel! All simply thrown into my favourite, super easy and convenient food! Sushi!! I’ll be talking to the members of the #cutthebschallenge this coming Sunday, about all things intuitive eating and starting them on their journey of learning this important life long skill! Lucky them, I’m so excited to get stuck into this next @fitstuff challenge! Are you ready to cut the B.S!

11.01.2022 Quick lunchtime cook up! Red lentil ‘pasta’ penne in a black bean, tomato, mushroom and spinach sauce. Simply stir fry all veggies with garlic and onion, drop in a tin of Roma tomatoes, add herbs and spices and a well drained tin of black beans on top! Add the fresh spinach right at the end and stir through! My #cutthebschallenge members will be happy with this one! All ingredients under $6! And feed my family of 6.
