When I’m not hanging out with my lovely clients and their awesome dogs in Newcastle, I’m spending a few days of my week down in Wyee at K9 Country Farmstay & Doggy School, working alongside the talented, amazing trainers there to provide training, enrichment and a whole lot of fun to a diverse group of wonderful dogs! 19.01.2022 Here we have little pocket Rocket ! And oh boy does he have the puppy dog eyes down pat! He is a bite sized cutie and his family want to get him off on the best paw possible so today we had a big chat on how to build your pup up for success, and the importance of what you can do NOW, when they’re young to shape them into the dog you them to be that suits your family and lifestyle. Unfortunately for me lil Rocket was asleep for most of our session (because, duh I missed out... on puppy cuddles, but did you know puppies can sleep up to 20 hours a day! Sleep is super important for puppies as that’s their time to get much needed rest and process all of the exciting information they’ve taken in that day) - so instead, his owners and I had a big conversation about the best ways we can manage his behaviour now to prevent any unwanted behaviours down the line; like crate training (#1 thing for puppyhood!), toilet training, mouthing/biting and effective, appropriate socialisation. This is the stuff that counts. Tricks can come later (which they did when he woke up ) but we made sure to cover the important stuff first! I can’t wait to see him next week to catch up on his progress!

17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for their support this year. For me personally, having my business in 2020 has kept me focused. I cannot stress enough how lucky I’ve been to have it carry me through to the end of this tumultuous year and into a new hopeful one, even seeing me pursue it full time (which has been a dream come true for a while). Happy New Year to all of you. Lots of big moments and feelings this year, some good, some bad. But we’re blessed to have our dogs by our side. A... client shared this video with me just now, and I sat watching, reflecting, shed some tears and felt so grateful to have Miles and to be able to surround myself with wonderful dogs (yours!!) every day.
