18.01.2022 Story time: When I first started snowboarding I hated it. Every mistake was the snowboards fault. I couldnt do it, I was not confident and I certainly wasn't confident. It was hard work but I went back for more, and the more I practiced the easier it got (kinda like treating your first patient vs treating your 500th patient) ... I became competent and then I started to enjoy myself. Now I love it - we go to Japan and Hotham every year (except when there's a pandemic) Just like anything in life - you might not enjoy it when you dont feel confident or competent, but as you continue to toil, and improve, things become FUN! 06.01.2022 Avoid just giving every shoulder ER. Ask yourself - waht are you trying to achieve with this exercise. If you can't visualise what I'm talking about please feel free to DM me and I can put a vid up in our story. Just know that smashing ER can often come back to bite you and there are ways to build up capacity of improve stability before you give everyone infra strenght work.... 03.01.2022 I heard this on my favorite podcast The Howie Games with @markhoward03 and thought it was super applicable to all walks of life, but particularly clinicans and clients. You can use it in many scenarios - whether its your attitude toward PD and improving yourself. Your attitude to your work and the effort you bring. Even your perspective on life and your gratitude. Our positivity or negativity can influence the clients outcome (e.g. chronic pain, fixed instead of growth mi...ndset) Make the the intereactions in your sessions as positive as you possibly can- its infectious! And....... You might just change your clients mindset about their health! See more
