07.01.2022 **COVID-19 & THE COD COMP** Here at The Cod Comp - much like the rest of the world - we have been monitoring the ever changing situation that is COVID-19 and the recommended actions from authorities. We, the fishing community, will not be immune to the financial, economic, and personal effects of this pandemic.... It will affect us all. Retail (our favourite tackle, apparel, and accessory stores) and Hospitality (that Roadhouse on the way to Spot X, or your regular caravan park) will be facing challenging times. Now, more than ever, they need as much support as possible. Whether that means purchasing online, phone orders, or even just keeping on wetting a line where and when you feel comfortable. So for this reason, and the fact that The Cod Comp is not an outdoor gathering, we will continue to run The Cod Comp Season 2019/20. Our number one priority is the health of our competitors and the community. So please remember to practice social distancing, don't fish in groups, and limit travel as much as possible. If conditions change, then we will reassess, but for now keep supporting your fishing community as much as you can. We here at The Cod Comp will be doing the same. Tight lines.
