Work is mostly Sydney based, with some interstate and beyond work available from time to time for those coders keen to travel, however this is not essential. Position description: An exciting opportunity exists for Clinical Coders to join our friendly and supportive team, and to further develop your coding skills across a wide and varied casemix. Full time/ part time and casual clinical coding positions available. Duties and responsibilities: Clinical Coding using ICD-10-AM, ACHI & ACS at a variety of public and private hospitals and day procedure providers Essential requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management, or completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM clinical coding course; A minimum of 2 years recent clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM 8th Edition, ACHI & ACS; Demonstrated experience with computerised clinical information/ PAS/ EMR systems and electronic coding products, including the 3M Encoder; Excellent organisational and communication skills; Demonstrated attention to detail; Ability to work independently and use available coding resources; Understanding of casemix and DRGs, as involved in the coding process and an ABF work environment. Netta is one of The Coding Company’s newest recruits and previously worked as the Coding Manager of two Sydney public hospitals. Netta has many years of experience coding and auditing in tertiary level public hospitals in Austral...ia. As an experienced Clinical Coder and Auditor with The Coding Company Netta worked alongside our other Educator Julieanne Lee to develop and deliver TCC’s first Clinical Coding Webinar to our team of advanced Clinical Coders. This was so successful that it was decided to make this new way of learning available to coders all over Australia and overseas.
