25.01.2022 There is more talent to add to The Collective (TC) team.. So I thought I might start something new.. TC Profiles Meet Beki! ... Beki Davies is a contemporary visual artist who is proud to call the Northern Rivers home. She worked for 15 years as a professional tattooist before she decided to pursue her creative talent and 'run away' to Art School. She currently holds her Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Art & Design. Beki has worked extensively in the local arts industry, has curated many group and solo shows as founder and co-director of Muse Contemporary Gallery, an artist run initiative in Lismore NSW. She can be found most days, hanging out with her son or working away at Silvercloud Studios in South Lismore happily covered in paint, clay or ink. 21.01.2022 Our health is so vital at this time and we are at the beginning of a new way of living... Due to the lockout laws in place from today, The Collective Studio is temporarily closing it's doors today for creative events, yoga memberships/subscriptions and group classes. All have been popped on hold for now. I am taking private bookings for up to 3 x people per session for half hour or hour classes on Tues and Thurs only. (Please msg to schedule an appointment). If you have a pai...d ticket to an event and I haven't been in contact with you directly, please contact me so we can organise a credit or a refund for you. I sincerely apologise for any disruptions this has caused and want to thank you all for being so supportive. Your kind words and gestures this past week have been wonderful and keep me passionate. This virus is unfortunately affecting the people businesses. Support each other, buy local, be kind. Don't forget YOU people are what make this beautiful world go around!! Born and bred in Casino in the beautiful Northern Rivers region, Tracey credits her creative parents for encouraging her talent from an early age.... Lots of inspiration for her work comes from surrounding country and coastlines. Other ceramicists such as Emma Walke (Dhirrawong Ceramics) sparked Tracey's love of clay to evolve into the intricate and quirky handmade works of art they are to this day. "I find clay brings a mindfulness that eases a busy mind. Many times I find myself looking at the clock to find that 4 hours have passed in what seems like minutes." 15.01.2022 2020 brings fresh new beginnings to Sth Casino business strip. The decision to diversify our businesses has been a tough one to make and a lot of heartfelt discussions and long lunches have been had to come to this. As a partnership we both bring unique skills and strengths to the table and a passion in health and community brought us together. I personally feel I have learned a lot from working alongside someone such as Sarah. ... 2019 was about sharing a dream together and although moving apart in 2020 we wish to continue to support each other's businesses and our vision alongside each other. 02.01.2022 Corona Virus #covid_19 has got the world turned upside down as we are all trying our best to navigate the best way through what's coming up and how to best look after our own health and the responsibility of what that looks like as a part of a society. Taking measures to prepare for social and economic isolation, (What does that mean for you and your family? Can you make a plan and take ownership rather than be a victim? Can you begin to think about working from home o...r possibly (at worst) a complete lockdown? Stock up on essentials and supplies, make arrangements with work, cancel certain unnecessary group gatherings.. but...always.. #bekind, #dontpanic. Consider the elderly and less able or immunocompromised. Take only what you need and continue to live in #love and #unity, rather than this #fear and #separation that is being spread like this virus. We have accomplished incredible things together as a human race when we stand together. We will do so much more yet... #together.. We are raising our #collective #vibration The Collective Studio Casino is working with its event organisers and hosts to determine if events are to be postponed or cancelled. I will notify customers around refunds or credit options. . All Simply U Yoga classes are remaining open for services continuing as normal for the meantime. This is a time where yoga can make a big impact. Please keep an eye on social media lines for updates around classes in upcoming weeks or feel free to contact me. I am taking all mats and equipment out of the studio to be thoroughly washed and disinfected through the week. There are disinfectant sprays and cleaning cloths for all guests to use before and after classes in studio. . I welcome you to consider bringing your own mat and towel to class (mats can be easily purchased cheap from Kmart or Big W).. If you do wish to have a break from classes, please contact me and I am happy to freeze your passes or membership in the interim to welcome you back when you feel safe and ready.. .
