11.01.2022 "Full circle" (adverb) Return to the original or a similar position, situation, or circumstance where one or something started......... You may be surprised to learn the story of The Colony and my part in its history. It has been serving food and coffee in some form or another since the 80's. It has passed through many hands, each owner leaving their own mark for the next to carry on with. In 2011 after 6 very successful years my parents Derrick and Sue passed The Colony tor...ch on. Fast forward to 2020 and the space that was known as The Colony lay empty...... Ready for a new beginning. Myself, ready for a new chapter and challenge in life, was presented with the opportunity to take back in the family what was once ours..... I am very proud of what we have achieved in the last few weeks and can't wait to share it with you all. If you knew my parents back in the day and what good food and service meant to them then you will know what the "new" colony has to offer. I am a big believer of things happening for a reason and am pleased to share with you our story of "full circle". - Kylie
