25.01.2022 Monday 16th March locked and loaded! The v funny Nat Damena headlines. The super witty Japanese legend Waka hosts. The support acts are bloody great, packed full of headliners with an international flavour, get to Cafe Lounge as early as you can for a good seat. Happy hrs 5-7pm. Show at 8pm sharp! Just $10 entry!

08.01.2022 *****Coronavirus Update****** What a rubbish thing to have to write after more than 8 years of shows. After a lot of thought this week I have decided we are going on a four week hiatus while we try to get a better idea of how this Covid-19 thing pans out. Except for a couple of Mondays that have fallen on a Xmas day we've never taken a break from putting on shows at Cafe Lounge, so this is a very difficult thing to write. I have been conflicted over the past few shows about ...the morals of promoting an event during a pandemic that encourages, and relies on humans sitting closely together in a small enclosed space. Being a 100 pax capacity venue Cafe Lounge can operate under the current government limit on indoor gatherings and events but I would feel socially irresponsible if I continue pushing my events, even if I were to further limit the capacity. We are a popular night for people across demographics, and we get a consistent numbers of international visitors. All it would take, given the infection rate that this new coronavirus has, is one person ignoring the isolation rules or an asymptomatic person coming in for us to do our part in further spreading this potentially very serious illness to someone most at danger. Given what we've seen in China and Italy and what we are seeing in the US and the UK I feel it's only a matter of time before smaller events are put on hold too, and we all head for temporary (hopefully) short term lock down. We all need to do our part in helping our hospitals and healthcare system cope with this virus and unfortunately that means younger people who perhaps wouldn't be seriously effected themselves making a sacrifice. I'm hoping we will make a triumphant return in time for May, watch this space. Any acts effected I will be doing my best to rebook for later in the year. Look after each other, and reach out to friends you feel may be suffering with mental health during this time of self isolation. Much love, Rhys
