11.01.2022 Despite living in Coodanup all these years, I didn't realise we had a couple of wildflower hotspots just up the road from The CrabShack - Peel Estuary Experience. These are both within walking distance from The CrabShack and I hope to go and explore Beacham Reserve in the next few days to see what I can find. I look forward to sharing some photos of my discoveries! The CrabShack provides a great base for exploring our waterways, walking trails, our beautiful town centre, watching birdlife and now ... hunting for wildflowers!

11.01.2022 Mandurah’s biggest weekend is coming! Book it in!

09.01.2022 We spent a lovely morning helping to clean up our Coodanup foreshore this morning. It was pleasing to notice that there wasn’t actually too much rubbishy around, but the main source of rubbish - small pieces of plastic food wrappers and cigarette butts. Our most unusual find - a chair!

05.01.2022 ISLAND POINT RESERVE We sometimes head down to Island Point Reserve for crabbing, but have never explored the walk trail. It’s full of beautiful wildflowers and orchids at this time of year!! We enjoyed a peaceful walk through the bush and it’s dog-friendly too. All just a 30 minute drive from The CrabShack. Toilets, picnic tables and calm waters for kids to paddle in (and Cape Bouvard winery and Brewery is just on the other side of the main road)!
