24.01.2022 I have now got the little sliders to go on the ear loops for the face masks that I make. If anyone has purchased one of my face masks that has ear loops, you are welcome to bring it into my shop (so long as it is clean for me to handle...) and I will happily retrofit the little sliders to your ear loops.

23.01.2022 Another fabulous hand-dyed yarn by my sister Kate. She’s just brought these two skeins into the shop. They are 4 ply - 80% merino and 20% nylon. $28 per skein. Lovely lovely lovely

23.01.2022 I’m hoping that the lovely customer who bought some goodies from me today will see this message...sorry I don’t know your name. Your hubby bought you the goodies as your Christmas present (lucky you!) and I somehow managed to leave something you bought on the counter (2 x kokeshi dolls). 21.01.2022 As you may know, my sister Kate has been doing some gorgeous hand-dyed yarn to sell in my shop. Today she brought in this beautiful scarf that she knitted using one of the skeins pictured here, so that you can see how fantastic it looks knitted up! Kate only does 3 skeins per colourway, and as you know the hand-dyed yarn is hard to reproduce exactly time after time (which makes it more desirable as far as I’m concerned!) So apart from the skein she used (yes just one skein to make this scarf), there are just these two skeins left. $28 each. The yarn is 4 ply, and is 80% merino and 20% nylon. Really soft and lovely too.

19.01.2022 Look what’s finally arrived! I placed my order for this delicious yarn back in July, but due to the pandemic the wholesaler had to get it sent by sea instead of air... But this lot was definitely worth waiting for! This Malabrigo yarn, from Peru, is well-known to many knitters and crocheters and who wouldn’t love these colours! Yummer yummer yum!! These are the superwash ‘sock’ yarns, 100% merino, 402 metres per 100g skein. They look like 4ply to me. $33.95 per skein.

18.01.2022 More new 3D cards in store now. These come folded flat, but when opened out you see several layers of design together. These really are cards to keep and treasure.

17.01.2022 And yet more Malabrigo yarn from Peru, just landed in store today. These ones are the Rios yarn (looks to me like about an 8 ply...). Each superwash merino 100g skein is 192m, and costs $26.95 per skein. Utterly delectable

14.01.2022 Just arrived in store today...6mm (1/4 inch) elastic, in an array of luscious colours! $1.20 per metre.

13.01.2022 When I arrived at work this morning I found that my internet is down....drat! This means that my EFTPOS machine won’t work, alas. I’m currently on the inevitable phone queue, waiting to report the problem, and hopefully find out if the service is likely to come back any time today. If they say the problem won’t be fixed today I will probably close up and go home... When I finally get to speak to someone about the problem, I’ll post again to let you know the situation.

09.01.2022 To the lovely customer who was in store yesterday afternoon (Saturday) looking for beads for your colourful crochet item, look what I found this morning! You bought two packs yesterday, but wanted more... I’m pretty sure that these are the same size as the ones you bought yesterday. If you see this message, and would like me to put some of these aside for you, please comment here, or contact me through messenger or email. Happy to hold some for you until your next visit to my shop.

08.01.2022 In case you’re unsure what my face masks look like on, here I am wearing one of mine. I wear the small/medium size ($15), but I also make them in medium/large ($15) and large/XLarge ($16.50). I have them in a changing array of outer fabrics - more fun to have nice patterns!

07.01.2022 The shop will be open tomorrow (Monday October 5) for the long weekend public holiday, but only until about 2pm. If it’s really quiet I may close a bit earlier, and if it’s busy I may stay open a bit later. I have some gorgeous new greeting cards in stock....aren’t these ones adorable?!

07.01.2022 Check out these gorgeous new braids, just arrived in store! So many creative possibilities, don’t you think? I especially love the pink braid with the sewing machine pattern.

06.01.2022 I know that many of my customers love to knit, but maybe some would like to learn?
