17.01.2022 My second pattern release :) This pattern is dedicated to my wonderful mum! Mum has been a crocheter since she was a teen, and only in the last year or so has she learnt to read charts. She would spend hours looking at Pinterest and finding charts she liked then making items for charity.... These patterns are all of Mum’s favourite stitches. Each stitch is seperated by a section divider, so that, like mum, those new to reading patterns can tackle one part at a time without being overwhelmed. Each of the stitches in this pattern has been given my Mumsy’s seal of ‘awesomeness’ approval {giggle} and as we designed it together she learnt new techniques and skills. We hope that you enjoy these patterns as much as we did creating them! Bless all of our Mumsys! Any yarn can be used for this blanket. The blanket can be made to any size with the border able to be added after any BPDC row. Use the hashtag #mumsysfavourites if you post online :) I hope you enjoy it x https://www.ravelry.com/patterns//mumsys-favourites-squared

05.01.2022 My amazingly talented friend Jacek, is holding his very first CAL and it looks wonderful. To take part, click on the shared post to go to his Facebook Business Page and send him a message. I have put the English translation below for you. Jacek is great with English so even though the posts are in Polish he always adds English to the end, and the patterns will have charts for you to follow. ... Come and join us for some CAL fun ;p ------------------------------------------------------------- CAL, CAL ... another CAL and this time my own and the first one. Why? Because my four elements decided to fight each other to prove which of them is the most beautiful in the shawl form. How they decided so they did. They mixed up all the colors and motifs and out of this chaos Defiti Shawl was created, which combines elements of all four shawls. Now everyone is happy and let it be. To be sure that it won’t change, let's make as many shawls together as possible. The pattern for the shawl is in the graphic form. It has only chart no written instruction. It will appear in a specially created group in 6 parts on the following dates: 1. October 1. 2. October 4. 3. October 8. 4. October 13. 5. October 18. 6. October 25. On October 31. I will issue the file with the entire pattern and make a summary of our play. In the group, we will have lot of fun. You will get also some information from the world of the elements, crochet curiosities. You will also be able to earn small prizes. What will you need? 1. Skein 1300 - 1400 m long. My scarf is made of a b/a skein, 4 ply and has size 200 /85 cm. I used 1250m working with 3.5 mm crochet hook. The test shawl was made of 4 ply merino skein and has size 200/86 cm. The tester used 1400 m plus additional meters for the last two rows. She worked with 4 mm crochet hook. Remember that the size of your shawl will depend on the type and amount of yarn, the size of the crochet hook and how you crochet the stitches. 2. Abilities to work with a graphic diagram 3. Knowledge of the Basics of Crocheting - CAL is not a crocheting course You don't have an idea for a skein yet? Doesn't matter. Three yarn stores have prepared a special promotion for CAL participants: Kokonki Motki Ombre, Liloppi oraz Pick the Yarn. Isn't it a nice option? Details I will write in our group. How to join? The cost of participation in CAL is PLN 5 (USD 1.50), You can sign up from today by sending me a private message via the Tresowane szydeko Jacka website. This is the very first step. Please do not use my private FB account. In response, you will receive transfer details and further instructions. After completing the formalities, I will send you a link to the group on FB. Note: Attempts to join the group without contacting me or making payments will be removed I cordially invite you and hope you will have nice time.
