19.01.2022 Huge thanks to Hayden Riley for capturing the feeling of a program at The Crossing Land. Somehow we managed to achieve this between the twin impacts of the Badja fire and COVID-19. We hope you enjoy the premier of this with us this Thursday at 7.30am. We are currently completing a winter list of fire-ready design modifications that we made at the end of our first big period of fire defence in January/February. We are also raising funds to make COVID-19 ready design change...s to accept groups back to The Crossing from September. We have quite a few changes to make to enable enough young people to use our camp facilities under the 4 square metre rule. We will also be running workshops over coming months with support from the Bermagui RFS and SES to bring together groups from each road on the Bermagui edge of the Badja Fire to share stories and to discover what worked well. Please contact us if you can become a coordinator for your road. Fire retardant property design will also be featuring in new scholarship programs that we will be running with regional youth in conjunction with the Cobargo Community Bushfire Fund, Bermagui RFS, SES and The Bega Valley Shire Council into 2021. Please help us to assist our community and youth if you are able. All donations to The Crossing Land Education Trust Public Fund are gift deductible. See more

13.01.2022 I speak from 1.12 to 1.20 about wind speed data, fire retardant shelterbelt design and Bermagui Badja fire edge gatherings on this Community Projects Discussion for Cobargo and District which took place last night in the School of Arts Hall. I also encourage people to have a look at all the speakers who are speaking on behalf of the community about projects that have grown from community discussion and about the importance of the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund. The Fund puts decision making back into the hands of the Cobargo and District Community. Please give to this fund if you are able to.
