18.01.2022 Trump and Biden are now neck and neck in Georgia, with both on 49.4% and only 1% of votes left to count. Graph trends show Biden is more likely to get ahead, which may result in him winning sufficient electoral college votes. But with Trump now making outright accusations of fraud despite a lack of evidence, anything can happen yet. Even if Biden wins, Trump supporters may not see the outcome as legitimate. If so, what would this mean for America?... 15.01.2022 We'll be on Zoom shortly at 7.30 pm for our event Australia and the World after Trump? We’re also looking forward to welcoming the Omari Sisters, Gemimah and Miriam, who will be singing some songs as part of the evening. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Omari Sisters and their brother were refugees for eight years in Malawi before coming to Australia. Hope, strength and endurance were the source and inspiration of their singing during their years in ...Malawi. Since then that experience has taken on new meaning. Their singing expresses their commitment to the dignity of all human life and the unity of humanity. If you can't get on the Zoom call. Send us a direct message on Facebook. 10.01.2022 So, Biden appears to have emerged from the US-election victorious, but for Trump supporters the outcome is far from over. This article provides a scarily accurate blueprint of how team Trump intend to keep hold of power. So far its predictions (written before the election) have been pretty spot on. Will it be right about what comes next? Or is Trump’s quest for a second term now impossible? The worst case, however, is not that Trump rejects the election outcome. The worst... case is that he uses his power to prevent a decisive outcome against him. If Trump sheds all restraint, and if his Republican allies play the parts he assigns them, he could obstruct the emergence of a legally unambiguous victory for Biden in the Electoral College and then in Congress. He could prevent the formation of consensus about whether there is any outcome at all. He could seize on that uncertainty to hold on to power. 08.01.2022 To help us in our mission, please consider supporting our fundraiser. We can’t bring about the change needed without you: Friends, we are at a crossroads. The world is under a lot of pressure economically, politically, environmentally, and socially. Not only are we facing a pandemic that has affected every life on this planet, but unprecedented fires, climate change, threats to civil liberties, and many other interconnected issues loom large. The world seems set on a colli...sion course to destruction, and many feel powerless to stop it. But we believe change is possible and we’re at a pivotal moment in time with more opportunity than ever to be a part of this change. Conversation at the Crossroads is a growing community based in Melbourne with both a local and global mission to connect people from all walks of life to address the most pressing issues of our time. Through our events and conversations, we aim to increase awareness and understanding of why things are the way they are and how we can collaborate to fix them.
