24.01.2022 I’ve always taken my coffee-making seriously, so the gift I recently received from my Daughter and Son-in-Law of my very own TCSA chocolate stencil has taken my ‘barista-ing’ to new heights. Marcelo Grego from Tap This Plumbing was my crash-test dummy, but he reckons I make the best coffee in The Hills - mmmm, it’s a shame I don’t run a café! Anyone for a coffee?!

22.01.2022 Enjoyed a fabulous evening tasting the new menu at Nexus Cafe & Function Centre. Ping Ping has extended the trading hours of Nexus Cafe to include dinner and weekends. The turnout was great with so many people showing support for Ping, who has done a terrific job in turning the business around. I encourage you to get behind this great local business! The menu is fantastic and it’s the perfect place for a business and/or social meet-up. Go check it out!

16.01.2022 Hey, just curious, how many of us are working from a detailed business plan? Most of us would laugh at the idea of setting off on a holiday without having a plan. It would be a DISASTER! We're comfortable planning weddings, birthdays, our retirement, and some of us may even plan our own funeral.... So, why is it that an astounding number of small business owners have absolutely no plan for their business? An interesting bit of research conducted by a Harvard Professor on a sample of small businesses found: 1. 70% had no formal business plan. 2. 27% had a verbal plan. 3. Only 3% had a written plan. So here's the rub, some years later, the same group was interviewed, and guess what? 98% of the wealth is now in the hands of the 3% who had a WRITTEN plan. As they say, if you "fail to plan, you are planning to fail". Our business plan provides the blueprint that guides us. It helps us to make the right decisions, aligning our actions with the goals we have set out to achieve! A good business plan can be written in just two pages. The most important part is the thought that goes into it. It's about assessing where you are now, where you want to go, and how you are going to get there! 16.01.2022 I am so proud of my amazing wife, Lisa, who has been working with the wonderful kids at Pacific Hills’ New Hope School. The students have all hand painted pots and nurtured herbs for the school fair, and today they are learning to market their creations to passers-by. Entrepreneurship at the grass roots. I love it! There are lots of arts and crafts, rides for the kids, a wide ride of foods - a great way to spend an hour on Saturday afternoon. Quarry Road, Dural.
