Social distancing has been very successful in here and we have hand wipes on arrival and departure. 22.01.2022 These are our final days of trade before we have to start packing every thing away to vacate the shop. Things are still a bit up in the air about where and when we are reopening so we have decided to fill the gap by selling items on Facebook and instagram. We can ship to you in Australia and will offer free drop off for orders over $100 in the Toowoomba area. The shop in Margaret street will be open for the next week between 10am and 2pm, or by appointment if necessary. I would like to thank everyone again for the wonderful support Ive received over the last 20 years. So many chats, conversations solving the problems of the world, so much laughter and some tears and of course some fabulous recipes exchanged. 21.01.2022 Today is supposed to be our last day of trade in the Margaret Street store. Almost everything is half price or less. All our artificial flowers are 60% off. The last couple of weeks have been very special for me, with a gentle flow of customers coming in to say goodbye and take home another little gem theyve had their eye on, or that little bargain they cant possibly leave behind. Thank you to everyone for their support over the last twenty years. I have spent so mu...ch of that time talking, talking, talking. About your families, whats going on in the community and the world, whats for dinner and just life. Drought was a big one, it reared its ugly head a number of times over the last twenty years. The extraordinary women who would call in for some retail therapy, sometimes not even to buy just to chat, would reveal the devastation to their communities and families and then in the next breath show their strength and determination to keep it all together because it would get better. I have felt privileged to hear all your stories, this store has seen so much laughter, sometimes mixed with tears. My heartfelt thanks to all of you that have shared this journey with me, including the gorgeous girls who have helped me over the years, especially the beautiful Meegs. And of course my beautiful family. My children grew up with the Cumquat tree being a large part of their everyday lives, anyone who owns their own business knows how all encompassing it can be and impossible without the support of those around you, they were amazing and always supportive and interested in what was going on, Emily was my big helper, and still is my advisor and sounding board, and of course the constant love and never ending support of The Gorgeous Husband is irreplaceable, always in the background helping me achieve my dream. 19.01.2022 The stock levels are going down. We are now 30% off store wide, except glasshouse candles which are still 25%, and lots more lines have been added to the half price section. All white ceramics and some glassware are now 50% off. The pineoclean is getting a workout and I am trying to limit the hugs, otherwise business as usual.

06.01.2022 We are still here, exercising our self distancing, and using lots of wipes. Our stock levels are dropping and the cabinets are for sale. This one had been $1890, now $700, the white painted one, exactly the same, is $600. They are fantastic storage and display pieces. I hope everyone is going okay, such a confronting time for us all. I just keep telling myself, be kind, breathe, and wash your hands.

06.01.2022 We are having a Renovation Sale!!! After 20 years in the heart of Margaret Street we must clear the shop premises by Easter for Peter Snow Real Estates builders to start. Our 25% storewide sale started today with 50% off some items. If you cant make it in but have had your eye on something, give me a call.
