10.01.2022 All through my life I’ve been taught to only surround yourself with good people. People who with always help and support rather than put you down. Carole Baker and her Husband the compost king have been absolute gems in the last couple of months. Growing us the most beautiful and happy produce, bringing us usually but delish cuttings and leaves to experiment with in the kitchen and educating us into the right direction with our gardens at the restaurant. (Who new you shouldn’...t just throw 1000 pumpkin seeds in, let them fight til the death and hope for the best) ... They’re So knowledgeable.. I’m like a sponge soaking up all their wisdom. They’ve put together these planter boxes packed with herbs we regularly use in the kitchen. We have a ‘Swap in Swap out’ system in place which I saw the success of at Emeraude. These two nurse and look after these boxes in the comfort of the own home and when they are ready they drop them off at the restaurant... I give it little ‘haircuts’ throughout the week and when I can’t get any more cuttings (nearly snip it to death) Carole swaps it with a fresh new replenish boxes ready for a new week. It’s been success so far. We will have to see what summer brings. These Two have the kindest hearts and are so thoughtful. Isn’t is funny how the right people walk into your life -Jess See more
