18.01.2022 The TDF Christmas Tree is up!! We will be supporting the 2020 2bs Salvation Army Christmas Miracle Appeal. "Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life". This Christmas spread the festive cheer and donate to the 2BS Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal by dropping in a newly bought toy to put under our TDF Christmas Tree. Students will also get to take home something special for their own tree at home! The wonderful volunteers from the Salvation Army will deliver them to make sure no children goes without toys this Christmas. #thedancefactory #spreadinglove #christmastime #givingbacktothecommunity

17.01.2022 Over the last few weeks Miss Flick has been organising a few very exciting things to bring to TDF! 1 that I’m very excited to finally be able to announce... TDF is the OFFICIAL Bathurst location for the new program ‘Dance Cirque’. A circus program designed specifically for dance studios! Complete with level certificates for all levels as well! With over 40 studios already signed up, Dance Cirque is designed to help improve your child’s confidence, strength and flexibility... (as well as learn some really cool tricks ). Dance Cirque will be for those 5yrs+ and you will be able to learn a range of aerial silks, Lyra hoop and circus skills! I am also really excited to announce that along with Dance Cirque it also includes a program for our little climbing children called Little Monkeys aimed at our preschoolers aged 2yrs - 5yrs. This program will help build confidence in our little ones as well as improving co-ordination and cognitive development. So if you’re keen to learn some really cool tricks as well as build your confidence, strength and flexibility keep a look out for enrolments! Mia will be teaching our Hip Hop Classes and various other classes as well :) A little bit about Mia - Mia is currently under the direction and teachings of Mr BJ Rorke (SYTYCD top 6, CATS, FAME) at A-Live Performing Arts Centre and currently a crew member of Doves & Dimes Dance Academy under the direction of Pania Taku (SYTYCD) and Emmanuel Rodriguez (Justice Crew). During this time she has had the pleasure of working along side of Tenille Tavares, Stephan Tannos, Dayton Tavares, Maikolo Fekitoa, Fetu Taku, Alysha Percy and Sela Vai. She has worked with the Michael Clark Dance Company UK as well as L E V Dance Company Israel. She was also selected and completed a pre-professional dance course with Dance Editiorial in 2019 working with Sophie Holloway, Shannon Hsu, Lauren Blomdahl, Laurence Kaiwai, Caetlyn Watson,Neale Whittaker, Gaynor Hicks, Sarah Boulter and Wil Sabin. Over the last 4 years Mia has been a NSW State Dance Ensemble member with the NSW Arts Unit and was chosen as a featured artist in the ABC Documentary Romeo & Juliet Reimaqned. Mia has performed over several years in the Schools Spectacular and was also a featured artist for Hip Hop (under Neale Whittaker, Pete Evans) and Musical Theatre (under Sophie Holloway, Brad Green). Mia has also been a NXTGEN Dancer for A-Live Entertainment for the last two years. This year Mia was successful with her own choreography in the Sharp Short Dance Festival through Formdance (Riverside Theatre Parramatta) and awarded a secondment with Twisted Element Dance Company in 2021. I am so excited to welcome Mia to the TDF Teaching Team for 2021!

Dance Cirque Aimed at students aged 5yrs+ this program allows students to learn some amazing skills on 3 different aerial apparatus - Silks, Lyra & Trapeze. They will also be learning other Circus Performing Arts including Juggling, Hula Hoops and much much more! Little Monkeys Aimed at our pre-school aged students 2yrs-5yrs) this program incorporates fun interactive circuits will focussing on building fundamental movement skills, improve their coordination and development. They will learn a variety of circus skills including basic tumbling, silks, juggling and hula hoops and many more skills! All of our staff will be staring their intensive training very soon and will be super keen to start this new program next year! Why Circus? We want to train our students to become versatile performers and give our students the opportunity to do a range of classes! Circus skills have become increasingly popular on cruise ships, musicals and many more staged shows and productions.
