23.01.2022 Delicate Eye Area is the home of an incredible selection of ceramicists work from near and far (Japan *wink) ... we managed to get our hands on just a few pieces by Sharon Muir before she left our shores to take up her new life in countryside France. We stocked her pretty from the get go when we opened our bricks and mortar store almost 6 years ago! Drop by and have a peep cos these pieces will fly out the door. Blink and youll miss them!

Let us welcome you into the ‘Moonlight Garden’ paintings and collages by Michael McIntyre hand built ceramic work by Stephanie Phillips Step into our liminal world where the night sky meets the earth, where lunar shapes spring from below and flowers seem to hover and twinkle in the night sky. McIntyre's large and luminous work "Midnight Garden" marries perfectly with the organic potency of Phillip's colourful, totemic works in clay. Mysterious in origin it seems both mediums need each other to exist. We love the feeling of floating fields of colour shining down like the moon on the soft undergrowth, developing a gentle yet bold symbiotic relationship between pigment, earth and nature. View and purchase the incredible work of these two artists over next weekend at YSG Studio in Darlinghurst. 13.01.2022 This time last year we presented an exhibition of Timna Taylor’s ceramic work called 100 Trees. It was hosted by the supernova, multi award winning interior design team @ysg.studio in their fabulous showroom in Darlinghurst. Coincidentally we just visited Timna up north and collected an incredible amount of beautiful works, small and large ... we’ve featured a few images of YSG Studio’s recent work - @fourpillarslab Pillars Laboratory in Surry Hills, Budge Over Dover (a resid...ential project) and the mighty new @atomicbeerproject right here in Redfern next to The DEA Store .... and we’re so excited to be presenting another show curated by DEApartment hosted by YSG Studio next weekend! Painting and collage by Michael McIntyre and ceramic sculpture realised by Stephanie Phillips. These hand made brass objects were designed in the 50s by Carl Aubock - who trained under Walter Gropius - and became the face of Austrian Modernism. Still made in the workshop where they were originally designed, each piece is hand finished and stamped.
