22.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS VIA FOX FOOTY + HERALD SUN. "The AFL is investigating a possible COVID-19 breach by Melbourne’s Harley Bennell. Fox Footy confirmed the Herald Sun‘s report that the Demons have alerted the AFL over an incident that involved a drinking session on Saturday.... Melbourne is still investigating the incident with Bennell yet to be released from the club’s Maroochydore hub, given the Demons will potentially take part in finals. After becoming aware of the incident, Melbourne has kept Bennell away from his teammates."

Bulldogs played with an urgency that we lacked against Fremantle. Fair play, they're a more polished outfit than us. Let's hope the club follow through with the 'ruthlessness' that Goody spouted a couple of weeks ago. We've failed to execute on Pert and Bartlett's first milestone of the four-year strategic plan; finals. With that in mind, as supporters we demand a thorough review of the entire football department. Time to step up and make some harsh decisions. Can ill-afford another soft assessment or some of the most talented players we've had in two decades will simply go to waste. There shouldn't be any talk of 'improvement' or 'encouragement' after the nightmare of 2019. We were coming off almost the lowest base possible. Our four-day horror show in Cairns sums up where we're at as club. Complacent, arrogant and dispirited. They rested on their laurels once again and put us through more torture. After the succession plan, high draft picks, big recruits on big money, the supporters deserve so much more - particularly under a coach that's now had four years at the helm. Only one finals campaign to show for his efforts; on borrowed time. More soul searching for the players and coaches in the off-season. Everyone's on notice. But will they hurt enough? Isn't that what they said at the end of last year? This club, you simply can’t trust anything they say anymore. Talk is cheap. Oh, and no more pre-season documentaries. We're still in hell. Bye bye season 2020, it was inconsistent to say the very least
