First, the much-respected Mr Gregg Modlin, Barista Trainer and Entrepreneur came to support the team on their first operational day. Second, Leanne Kemp, Queensland Chief Entrepreneur stopped by to have a cuppa! How good can it get?!

24.01.2022 Congratulations to 3 of our amazing facilitators who have earned their 5 year ‘wheels’ today! A year in DeLorean is like 2 in a standard classroom - everyday is an epic adventure! It requires deep seated passion, patience, being ok with being the uncomfortable, an enormous amount of energy, and a sense of adventure and spontaneity! These team members were part of the original crew who put massive amounts of time and energy into this start-up project. They are largely responsible for its success today! To Beryl Morris, Brad Hampson and Rob Maguire - thank you for your 5 years of dedication and commitment to the DeLorean program and the cause. You are absolute champions!!!

18.01.2022 Our last visitor Claire Smith started a new ‘DeLorean Guest’ trend and she set the bar pretty high. Well today, the bar moved up the scale with Queensland’s Cheif Entrepreneur Leanne Kemp. Smooth moves again Mitch and that was a pretty serious worm Connor. Thanks for the entertainment

17.01.2022 What a way to start the term! We are grateful for the time, wisdom and feedback Leanne, Craig and Emily could give to our students today. Entrepreneurship is so much more than just making money, it’s about solving problems. And if it’s a real-world problem and the solution gives back to society in some way, shape or form... than it’s a win-win, goal scored and game changed! More photos to come

16.01.2022 These are the final words from our final day of Shark Tank 2020. It highlights why we do what we do. A masssive shout out and thanks to the Glasshouse Christian College DeLorean Project team of facilitators!!! (Why isn’t there a hats off emoji?!) A program like this requires a unique mindset and a willingness to step out of our comfort zones as a teacher and to step into a bigger picture of creating opportunities for our young people that they don’t often get. This highly eff...ective team encourage our young people to ‘Think, Create and Share’ and they are helping to set them up for a life time! Parents of our Year 10’s, thank you for your support and faith in the program and the purpose. To the students, congratulations! You have rebelled against the low expectations of the youth of today and demonstrated your passion, your purpose and your commitment to helping solve some of our ‘big issues’ in the world. To all of our network who have helped the students understand themselves and each other better, or who have given them the gift of public speaking skills, you have changed lives and the return on your investment is infinite! And finally, to all of our sharks of today and over the past two weeks, you have turned the world of our youth on its head! Your belief in them and their ideas is the affirmation they need to stand up and make their positive contribution to society. 15.01.2022 It’s a wrap! What a way to end the year of DeLorean for this Year 10 cohort. It’s quite fitting really... these guys have ridden the waves, the highs and the lows and they have faced scary moments and the uncomfortable. At times it been wild and windy and other times calm and serene. They have had to find their balance and lean in with courage, faith and trust. They have shared the adventure with friends and have had fun along the way! Congratulations 2020 Delorean graduates!

A massive shout and thanks to our sharks Craig Josic, Sonia Goodwin and Zach Johnson who changed the lives of our young people today. 02.01.2022 Everyone survived the dive into Round #2 of 2020 Shark Tank yesterday. A massive thank you to Helen Andrews of SpareHarvest, Chris Wands of Wandspro and Tim McGee Sunshine Coast Council for your awesome ‘shark’ prowess! The students are always amazed that ‘REAL’ people (which teachers are not, apparently?! ) would give up a day in their busy work schedules to come and invest time and energy into them and DeLorean. Not only that, they give REAL feedback, from REAL experience and for a REAL purpose that the students have identified. This.... ladies and gentlemen is learning that is without a doubt REAL and will last a lifetime! Round 3 coming up next week, and until then, here’s a wrap-up from this weeks friendly sharks .
