24.01.2022 For anyone who missed the memo - there’s a Pond baby on the way! That’s right, in one month this little family will grow by one . So, Wednesday July 18 I’m packing the laptop away until January. The Design Pond will still be ticking along, with champion Lauren Clarke at the helm, however it will be at a much lower capacity, and we won’t be taking on any new clients during this time. I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who has been a part of The Design Pond’s journey, especially over the past 6 months. The continued support of our fabulous clients and suppliers over the years is so appreciated, and even more so as baby brain has taken over (sorry for all the emails missing attachments!). And of course, the BIGGEST thanks to the dude on the left in this pic. 23.01.2022 So bloody pumped to have had the opportunity to work with Reece at Nacho Station on this mural at The Studio. Painting a mural was a first for me I've been obsessed with large-scale artwork since watching Art Attack as a kid, and continued to be captivated by murals and street art throughout my life. So, to finally step away from digital creation and put brush-to-wall, for an actual client, is pretty ace. Hope you like it! Also, cheers to the guys at Hebron Films for putting together this vid. I’m planning to expand on this collection of prints, and will one day set up and online store, etc. but for now, they’re available at @peachy_bendigo or just send me a dm. 11.01.2022 She’s here! The wonderful Anthea Paige came into the world in August, bringing with her an abundance of joy and happiness. The past five months have been the best yet, and January has rolled around fast! This new lifestyle means a few changes at The Design Pond. Today marks one year since I went on maternity leave, and while I have been back in some capacity for quite some time, it’s taken a while to strike that happy life/family/work balance. 01.01.2022 We’re living in a strange time right now, where it’s business as usual for no one. Whether that means working from home, working while schooling kids, not working, or working harder than ever before (shout-out to our frontline workers!) we’ve all had to make huge adjustments. While I’m lucky that my job can easily be done from anywhere, I have seen a big change in what my clients need at this time, as businesses evolve to this new way of living.
