I started off with acrylic toppers but have had feedback that some simply dont want to spend too much on something that they will likely just throw away. So the cardboard topper is cost effective, can be saved as a keepsake or disposed of without getting the guilts. Roughly half the price of an acrylic topper and comes in a variety of colours! 05.01.2022 I started this business while I was mat leave with my first.. whilst it didn't reach the success I had hoped it would, it allowed me to explore something that I loved and still love to do. I learnt a lot about myself on this creative journey; there was a different type of stress, determination and perseverance than what I had/have in corporate. I sometimes had to make choices between integrity of my work vs "going the cheap and easy" (it was never the latter) and all the fail...s (ahem, macarons!!! aka biggest thorn in my side) I endured.. I am proud to say that I tried, I am proud that I maintained integrity in my work, never under valued myself and that I also never shed a tear over it. Being passionate doesn't mean you need to stress yourself so hard that you'll have a breakdown, even though countless times i came very close - As emotionally taxing and joyful as it was, I always told myself "you'll be alright, it will work, just keep trying" and that kept me going and kept me focussed.. as did the undying support from my husband who washed many dishes, made many boxes and would stay up till crazy hours, doing nothing, but just supporting me with his presence, which is actually a huge thing. Today my daughter graduated from childcare and is going to "big school" next year. I was up till 2am making these cookies for her class and educators, and couldn't have been happier. As 2021 rolls in, Im turning a new leaf and will keep baking and making, but for a different purpose.. Thanks for your support xoxo
