Was exciting times we live in, where we have the capacity to create real change in this world. 19.01.2022 Excel has been a staple in businesses since its introduction some 35 year ago & seems to be used for, well, everything... Analysing data, great. Storing data, bad. Thousands of disparate Excel files are of little value. By storing data in a common data service, businesses can gain valuable insights & even begin to automate processes. Ahead of next week's live stream, Luke Fabish sat down with James Diekman to discuss how businesses can move way from spreadsheets & leverage Microsoft's Power Platform.

18.01.2022 Welcome to DV STREAM's The Future Of Work: Mega-trends, Mindset & You! We'll be diving into the technological & humanstic aspects of the future of work. 16.01.2022 Celebrating a year of Business, technology & People

16.01.2022 Everyone has their own, unique way of evaluating, and understanding the world: Sometimes its in terms of understanding whos winning, and whos losing. Or it may be a matter of understanding what people are afraid of, and what theyre greedy for. Or seeing the systems that people operate in, and how those systems affect peoples behaviour.... Whatever your natural way of understanding the world is, wouldnt it be good to step into someone elses shoes and see the world the way they see it? So what happened in our March Meetup is that Phil, Rachel and Chris from This Thing of Ours introduced us to a technique for doing exactly this.

16.01.2022 What next..? A question faced by all entrepreneurs but particularly ‘non-technical’ founders that require tech solutions. It can be a daunting situation & even knowing where to start is a challenge. Having struggled with previous tech partners, Rupert Ballinger, CEO & founder of Wundar, recruited Digital Village to guide him through the process of developing their private mentorship platform. 15.01.2022 "The fall out from COVID-19 has yet to be fully understood, but one thing's for sure; enterprises will be seeking fast, efficient and flexible ways to solver their problems with digital solutions." In a time where businesses can't afford to overrun on projects, Paul Scott gives his thoughts on pumping up the tyres on agile... without a budget blow-out www.digitalvillage.network//time-to-pump-up-the-tyres-on-/

13.01.2022 Consider this; You wake up in the morning, you turn off your alarm, and as you lie there in bed, you check your facebook, your Instagram, your WhatsApp, your Twitter, your texts, your emails and then the news. Then you go to the bathroom, you use the toilet, brush your teeth, take a shower, get dressed and then head for the kitchen. You drink some coffee and eat breakfast. Maybe you watch the news or check your emails again. Its the same routine you follow everyday. Then yo...u drive to work on the same old route, and when you get there you interact with the same coworkers you saw the day before. You spend your day performing pretty much the same duties you performed yesterday. You might even react to the same challenges at work with the same emotions; Then after work, you drive home; maybe you stop at the same grocery store and buy the food you like and always eat. You cook the same food for dinner and watch the same television show at the same time while sitting in the same place in your living room. Then... 12.01.2022 DV co-founder Jason Hardie's 'takeaways' from last week's DV STREAM: Mega-trends, Mindsets & You. What were yours? "What is the future of work? = Purpose and meaning. This was what I took away from the conversation with our special guest Anuraj Gambhir in the DV Stream session last week.... A Japanese word Ikigai meaning: the reason for being. My understanding of this is that it suggests for people to feel a sense of purpose and meaning in our experience of - what we are good at; - what we love; - what the world needs and; - what we can be paid for for need to be simultaneously aligned. A huge thank you to everybody that joined DV STREAMs Future Of Work: Mega-trends, Mindset & You last week."

09.01.2022 Great article. A remote workforce is more sustainable in more ways then one. https://hbr.org//is-it-time-to-let-employees-work-from-any

06.01.2022 The monthly Digital Village Meetup was held last week. I love these events. Is a chance to have fun and bring people together. Youre probably familiar with usability testing of software and different research methods of how to optimise a website or application. But not everyone is familiar with Drunk User Testing (DUT). Testers were provided drinks before the session and then a set of tasks to carry out on the site while everyone else looked on and listen to them express the...ir unfiltered feelings about how they wanted the site to be. And this is the beauty of DUT. you dont get such authentic and unconsidered feedback as from a drunk user. Thanks to Fiona Thompson, Micheal Mendoza, James Gilchrist for getting amongst it and for the helpful feedback on the websites. Special thanks to Work Club for the great space, great service and for donating the winning prizes on the night! You can see details of the event here:https://digitalvillage.network/meetups/drunk-user-testing/ Next month (7th Nov) we will be playing cards! Save your seat: https://digitalvillage.network/events-and-we/sydney-meetup/ #UX #Meetup #usability #webdesign

06.01.2022 Let’s say you acquire two new customers at an acquisition cost of $20 each. Luke spends $50 & Jason just $25. Luke, therefore, represents a better ROI, right? Well, initially yes, but perhaps we’re thinking too short term as Jason returns at a later date and spends another $100. Suraj Pabari joined our very own Luke & Jason on last month's Live Stream to discuss how businesses can develop strategies to target & acquire customers with a higher lifetime value.
