25.01.2022 Making a quick escape to the forests just south of Perth, including the Captain Fawcett 4WD track and this beauty of a camping spot :D #dirtydrifters #4wd #australia #wa #dwellingup #travelaustralia #camping #adventure #offroad #landrover #lr3 #discovery #kayaking @ Captain Fawcett 4X4 Track
23.01.2022 Thanks to Kimberley Wild Expeditions, we spent one full day touring the Gibb River's Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek out from Broome. Tunnel Creek is a fascinating 750-metre 'secret' cave system, and is home to subterranean wildlife including bats and freshwater crocodiles. The cave also has an interesting history, reputedly being used as a hide-out by rebellious indigenous fugitives in the late 1800's. We actually missed out on Tunnel Creek during our 2018 road trip so we wer...e glad to have ticked this one off the bucket list. Being in pitch blackness with water getting up to your hips at some points and the odd fright of a bat or croc or two - this one is worth the detour off the Gibb! . . . #dirtydrifters #kimberleywild #broome #australia #westernaustralia See more
18.01.2022 Crossing paths with another dishevelled, weary and well endowed traveller in Western Australia's Bungle Bungles (Purnululu National Park). Thankfully he was friendly!! 16.01.2022 Here's a quick video of us crossing the famous Pentecost River (along the Gibb River Rd) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. We were on our way to El Questro Station. By the time we arrived here in late May 2018, the dry season well and truly kicked in with water levels low enough for the Land Rover to glide across with no issues and no crocodile-related mishaps!
15.01.2022 We're in Broome right now! No Landrover this time around - we flew straight here from Perth thanks to the WA Government backed flight specials. Unlike our last time here, accomodation is booked and we won't need to bend the rules when finding a spot to camp! To mark our arrival into Broome, we did the most touristy thing possible - a sunset camel ride. Can't beat that Cable Beach sunset! ... We're up here for two weeks with an activity-packed itinerary and can hopefully give you a taste of what Broome has to offer #dirtydrifters #westernaustralia #broome #visitbroome #Perth
13.01.2022 We were recently interviewed by UK magazine, Land Rover Monthly, about our road trip around Australia for their April edition, in which we are a cover story! The digital version of the article is now available on our website. Follow the link, give it a read and let us know what you think! :) http://dirtydrifters.com.au/land-rover-monthly-magazine/

11.01.2022 Nothing quite like sailing to remote beach locations to frolic in pristine azure blue waters... Karma IV Charters took us to the exclusive Eco Beach Resort in style with lunch included, before taking us back to Broome in time for another sensational sunset. Food didn't stop flowing all day as we spotted a mother and calf Humpback whale! A relaxing way to get to Eco Beach while meeting new people! ... . . . #dirtydrifters #broome #australia #westernaustralia See more

07.01.2022 We got a quick refresher of the Gibb River Rd and Kimberley experience with a one day Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek Tour out of Broome. Travelling over 800km in one big day! We went with Kimberley Wild Expeditions in their converted truck, and enjoyed being chauffeured around for the day! It's well organised and great value for money. Here's some highlights of Windjana Gorge. This time round, we saw heaps of crocs! Will post Tunnel Creek next ... #dirtydrifters #kimberleywild #broome #australia #westernaustralia
05.01.2022 A quality roof rack system is essential for successful overland travel. For our Australian road trip, we chose the Slimline II Roof Rack by South African manufacturer, Front Runner Outfitters. Read Our Review: http://dirtydrifters.com.au/front-runner-roof-rack-review/
04.01.2022 Escape into the ancient, spiritual landscape of Karijini National Park and 'switch off' the COVID-19 pandemic. We went up there not long after Mark McGowan reopened the regional borders and practically had the whole place to ourselves! Read our comprehensive Karijini guide on: http://dirtydrifters.com.au/karijini-western-australia/... --- A quick note to our followers: After taking a hiatus from social media, we're back! Now more than ever is a great time to celebrate and promote Western Australia. Stay tuned for more camping experiences and travel tips from The Dirty Drifters!
02.01.2022 Tyres are the most important single contributor to your vehicle's performance so it pays to choose wisely, especially when driving through remote areas. For our trip around Australia we chose the KO2 All-Terrain from BFGoodrich Tires. Read Adam's review to see if they lived up to the manufacturers promise of rugged performance and durable reliability.
