17.01.2022 Its the Queens Bday long weekend...And you know what that means? Daz is going 4-Wheel driving in the Bush!! This is Daz. Circa 2006........ Even when I first joined the band back around 05, Daz would always go away on Queens Bday weekend to do some 4-Wheel driving in the bush. He loves it, and has probably asked us all to come away with him 1000 times over the years. After all these years he still goes away every single year. But..............there was one year he didn't go ...away. We booked a gig........What were we thinking!! Never again will we book a gig on this long weekend ever ever again. Because after all these years he never lets us forget it. And what made it even worse - it was a shit gig!!! We were supporting Hoodoo Gurus at the Chelsea Heights hotel. And I can tell you this - the people that come to see a Hoodoo Gurus show don't really want to see a country rock band from the Mornington Peninsula..........so yeah, it was a shit gig. Funny thing was - he still wanted to camp so badly that after the gig he set up a swag in my back yard, lit a fire and drank a few cans. . Anyway.....he'd be off in the bush by now. Probably chain sawing down a tree to make a bon fire or something. Or getting his car bogged on purpose so he can use his winch. Swearing like a trooper and doing all the things that make Daz the funniest god damn bloke to be around. Anyway......its Friday arvo and i'm just rambling on for no reason. Hey did I tell you we are trying to cook up some new tunes. Yes way!! It's going pretty good so far. Feels great to be making some new stuff with the boys. More to come!! Have a great weekend Daz!!! 16.01.2022 Hoping everyone's ok out there. Pretty testing times to say the least. Missing my 'brothers from other mothers'. We should have been putting the finishing touches on our new batch of songs before starting the recording process. Things were getting pretty exciting in the rehearsal bunker. The new batch of tunes had us all smiling and as excited we'd ever been about to prospect of recording again. We will get there eventually........... Sit tight. Well what else can you do ay!

08.01.2022 Getting the band back together Two weeks ago I posted a VERY impromptu vid singing a Lukas Nelson song while cooking tea in the kitchen for a bit of fun. Very rough!! Then a week later I got a message from Simon saying he's been jamming along to it on his banjo. So i said - "Hey Sime do a video of that and we can try making one of those video mash up things". And then that grew to all the boys having a go! ... So..........forgive the out of timeness (the boys did well to play along to my original vid which was all over the place!), the bad mix and definitely the dodgy singing........god knows if I've synced it all up ok!!! 04.01.2022 Toying around with a few fun covers while in Lock Down. Gav threw down a smooth solo on this obscure Tom Petty number. Might have to get all the boys up and about and do a few Distance tunes....what ya reckon people’s?
