25.01.2022 My Favourite Human 13/30 Meet my favourite human My Fiancee Jay We met online and have been hanging out together ever since. He must think Im ok too as he asked me to marry him in August last year. ... While COVID has thrown Wedding plans I'm sure we will get planning again once things settle down. Jay is calm and reassuring but knows how to press my buttons and get me stirred up and motivated. We share some common values of travel and adventures but he is a great photographer in his own right. He was definitely worth the wait and is my favourite human.
24.01.2022 What did you do this weekend?
23.01.2022 Over 18 Million people have tested their DNA at Ancestry. This is fantastic news! In January of 2017 I had a total of 36 - 4th cousins or closer at ancestry, I worked those matches so hard to find out my relationships to them. Compare that to today I now have 238 - 4th cousins or closer and its much easier to work out the relationships.... As the database grows our job will be come easier, to identify matches and create links! Solve stories and confirm identities. Its an exciting time
23.01.2022 #contentology #chillout #day10 A total chillout session today began with catching up on last nights episode and then continued with two episodes of Filty Rich and Homeless. While watching I was able to continue with my cross stitch and snuggle with the cat.

22.01.2022 I love when I am researching and end up down some crazy rabbit holes of fascinating gems Check out this story - I learnt about the wonderful Fanny while searching for the grave of my 4th great grandfather Joseph Norris who is buried at Campbells Creek Cemetery - now known as Castlemaine Cemetery. I like to think that Joseph and Fanny's paths may have crossed -Maybe he ate at her restaurant ... Now to find Josephs grave information and cross your fingers he has a headstone :) https://www.abc.net.au//fanny-finch-the-first-kno/10899558

18.01.2022 Are you adopted or missing a family member? I see you and I have heard the challenges that you have faced across your life. Its painful and challenging to live with not knowing and always wondering why or what if. https://thednaconnection.com.au/st/missing-a-family-member/

17.01.2022 There is so much to love about life right now. During these covid times I have been able to enjoy more time to get researching and working on cases. I have loved being home just a little bit more and hanging with the four legged creatures https://thednaconnection.com.au/stories/love/
16.01.2022 What motivates me to do this work? I have always had an interest in history and over time this has evolved to be family history or genealogy (if we are using the correct term). I love searching for ancestors and finding the little stories and tales about them. As I research I feel them come alive, as I read another newspaper article or match a face to the person in a photograph. Learning about our ancestors brings reflection for ourselves. Where does my love of needlework and... lacemaking come from? Where does my nose come from? What genetic code did I get from my great great grandmother? All these questions pop up for me while I am researching my own tree. When researching trees for others I dont typically know what will bring a smile to my clients face. Is it the stories that are found in a marriage certificate? It is the letter home from the war? Is it that Great Granny Jones was a successful business woman? When we research our past we learn from our past how does this affect our identity? Does some of the patterns from our ancestors reflect in our current lives? My Great Grandmother Hilda Richards was a Registered Nurse in Bendigo, Victoria. Is this part of the reason that I became a nurse? Is it in the DNA I inherited from her? She would be run off her toes if she was here in the times of Covid 19, with that infectious diseases training! I am motivated to help you discover your history, bringing you connections to your past, which in turn might lead you to discover more about yourself. If you are interested in starting the journey, I would love to assist you Why not check out my research packages?
16.01.2022 In one of the cases that I was worked on, where we were working on finding a missing birth father, I quickly learnt through ethnicity reports that my client was going to have links to an indigenous past.#NRW2020 #InThisTogether2020 #contentology #blackl https://thednaconnection.com.au/s/links-to-indigenous-past/

02.01.2022 I love being able to solve cases using DNA. I have helped many people understand how to use DNA with their family history research, as well as connect others to find missing relatives or birth parents. I know that taking the first steps to take a DNA Test can be emotional and scary, even for those who aren't adopted. I remember the moments before spitting in that Ancestry tube pondering what it may show but being excited to learn more about my past.... If you are excited but a little scared that's perfectly normal. I'm happy to help you with your results or give you a little jolt to take the test if you need it :) Like my page and tag a friend below if you think they might be a little excited and shared too. Im happy to help you with your results or give you a little jolt to take the test if you need it :)
