25.01.2022 When your chef rings first thing in the morning and says the freezers died you know it's going to be an interesting day . So with this in mind we ask everyone to be extremely patient with us as we will be running on a reduced menu as we lost everything in the freezer. We are hoping that our friends at Wide Bay Air Conditioning are going to be able to assess the situation today and either repair or we might have to be up for a new one. ... Lots of deep breaths to be had today...possibly a wine or two as well #widebayaircon

24.01.2022 Well done to those that guessed our final change is a NEW MENU.... we are very excited . Chef Gavin and his team have been working very hard over the past 3 months to produce an amazing menu that we know you will be just as excited about, as we are. It's been a tough few months and as the saying goes "a change is as good as a holiday". So let's all go on a holiday to THE DOCK. There's still some old favourites and others have been given a new twist. But the new dishes.......... you really need to come and try!! 21.01.2022 Hello all we are still having major internet issues and the phones keep dropping out. We apologise, however, it is not our fault. If anyone could get hold of Telstra we would be very grateful. Mark has been on the phone for the last 7 days trying to sort this out with no success what so ever!!!! Bookings can be made through our Facebook page. Send us a message and we will respond to it as soon as possible. If you do happen to phone us please be aware that it may cut out halfway through. 09.01.2022 Every year prior to whale season commencing, we run our crew/staff training day. The day is designed to get everyone together to make sure we’re all on the sa...me page. We start with boat safety and throwing ropes. That leads on to our marine biology training and we receive some great basic knowledge (even though some of our crew are marine biologists already) about our majestic humpback whales. This year we were lucky to have Dr Bonnie Holmes conduct the training...she’s an animal ecology lecturer at the University in Hervey Bay so she certainly knows her stuff! We then head up to The Dock Bar & Restaurant for lunch, drinks and a get-to-know-each-other afternoon. Good times! It’s become a Whalesong tradition and is a great way to begin the season. This year, we also conducted COVID-19 training in line with the tourism industry safe plan. A few modifications have been made to our cruises but Whalesong guests will still receive the same great service and quality of inclusions, as they always have.
