19.01.2022 Have you ever met a breed of dog that cannot bark? The basenji is a breed that originates from Africa and does not bark. They instead make a kind of yodelling sound. Crazy huh?!!! ... I had the pleasure of taking care of dear Remi the basenji and I am so sad to say that I didnt get to hear the yodel once!!! She was so well behaved and content that she didnt make a sound apart from a small whimper when her owner left. We look forward to sharing our couch with you again Remi!! Also, check out her tail!!!

17.01.2022 It’s National Black Dog Day and this black dog is one of the very lucky ones. I’ll tell you why..... Not only is she hanging out with The Dog Nanny she was once a foster dog that some how landed her perfect adoptive family!! ... Black dogs typically take a lot longer to be adopted, often being over looked in favour of the flashier dogs. Cherry is a kelpie x possibly greyhound and she’s an absolute sweetie living her best life thanks to a kind family who fell in love with her.

17.01.2022 This is our old foster dog Banjo!! He was lucky enough to be adopted locally and has come to visit a few times since his forever home was found!! The Dog Nanny Household fostered Banjos litter and just before they were adopted, we also took on the role of foster carers for his mother. ... It was lovely to see them meeting again and spending some time together before they went their seperate ways again. We have fostered over 20 dogs this year alone. We pay for all our foster dogs food, not because we have to but because we want to give them the best start to the new chapter in their lives, and one way to do that is consistent, quality dog food. So the next time you use The Dog Nanny’s services, your not just helping a small family, you are also helping a foster dog in need.

13.01.2022 No photos did this boy justice!! Such a big stocky boy with a large deep bark. Dootchie is an ACD x and as loyal as they come. He’s not a massive fan of dogs outside of his pack but that’s not an issue at The Dog Nanny’s place.... His heart is just as big as his big boof head and we both woke up excited every morning to play fetch and cuddle!!

12.01.2022 Ves the Chewhound. Ves loves nothing more then to chew. When hes done playing and chasing balls, he just loves to sit and destroy any toy insight, which he is very efficient at. ... So last week I took him to Aquabird Pet Store to choose his very own semi indestructible toy. He chose a Staffy Ball and began to chew it while also keeping an eye out for something better. I decided the Staffy Ball was not the right fit due to it being so hard and heavy, ( I wouldnt want it bouncing up and hitting his handsome pointy schnoze ) So I kept the Staffy Ball for my eager girl Ava and instead directed Ves towards these bad boys!! To say he fell in love with his Scream Xtreme Toy would be an understatement and for now the other doggy toys are in one piece!!

11.01.2022 When this girl came to me as a foster dog, she was terrified. She wouldnt come near me, I couldnt even coax her with treats. Any progress made was ruined if she heard a males voice or saw a male in the near vicinity. I slowly gained her trust, love and affection and she is now the most loyal, trusting, wanting to please dog. ... With the help of my lovely patient, understanding friends, she has also opened up to them, even approaching them on her own accord for pats and cuddles. One of my friends said she couldnt imagine our home with out Cass and secretly I hoped wed never have to. Shes come such a long way, that today we had to say good bye as she went off to her forever home. Im always sad when any of our foster dogs leave us but this girl really has taken a piece of my heart with her. As the new owners drove away, Cass stared at me through the window looking confused as to why we were parting ways. It took everything in me to not change my mind and just keep her forever. A little love and understanding can go such a long way and she is living proof of that

11.01.2022 Today is National Dog Day!! To celebrate, Id like to share with you the dogs in my life. These guys at times share their home, their back yard, their toys, their beds, their food and the biggest sacrifice of all, my affection and attention. ... Of course your pooch could visit and never meet them if you choose, but if your pooch loves company, these guys are always ready to play!! 08.01.2022 When Harry Met Kristie That time I found this little fluff ball on the road. He was full of prickles and a bit smelly. So what did I do? ... I took him home, removed all the prickles and gave him a bath. He had a snooze and a lovely play with my little Fifi while I tracked down his owners.

07.01.2022 Hugo and Polly Hugo and Polly love their walks!! Hugo does get a little defensive around big dogs which he displayed in full when we bumped into Digger the Golden Retriever, a regular at The Dog Nannys place!! Hugo soon calmed down when I took the lead and relieved him of his self appointed duty. ... However I think he found his match when we saw a horse on our river walk. Hugo wasnt sure what to make of it and chose to quietly stay behind me. Hugo the Jack Russel is currently in foster care, looking for his forever home. he finds the perfect place soon!!

06.01.2022 A bit of a sad time at The Dog Nanny household today. This is Willow. She has been hanging out with us multiple times a week for months. All the dogs have a great time when shes around. Willow plays very nicely, always coming when shes called and ready for cuddles anytime of the day!! ... Willow and our dog Ava have an arrangement when it comes to fetch. Ava runs to get the ball and brings it half way back, Willow picks it up and brings it the rest of the way back to me. Today they all played ball and zoomies for the last time. Willow is moving back to the big smoke but we hope to see her again one day.

05.01.2022 Check out this video of Dobby and Cass playing inside. I typically dont encourage jumping on furniture but just like Grandma spoils the grandkids, The Dog Nanny let this slide because Dobby is the sweetest teddy bear/pooch you could ever ever meet.

03.01.2022 Digger is an anxious young dog. So yesterday on our walk I decided to take two of my dogs with us. Trusty Levi and the ever loving Fifi. ... Digger was much more relaxed having the comfort from Fifi and the leadership from an older male in Levi. The small pack situation made for a lovely walk with no barking and a laid back play time off lead at the dog park. This walk was much easier for me and certainly a much more enjoyable exercise time for Digger.

03.01.2022 It’s not all fetch and cuddles on the couch at The Dog Nanny’s place. Sometimes we treat our friends to a brunch trip at Warwick’s Gardens Galore!! The great atmosphere, amazing food, lovely smelling flowers and lots of pats from the dog loving humans, makes for a fun doggy outing and a great excuse to sleep in and not cook your own breakfast. ... Check out Ves, Marrow and Olive enjoying this gorgeous weather in this gorgeous space.

03.01.2022 Double Trouble!! Libby is getting on in dog years and is incredibly deaf but that didn’t stop her from having a 5 star stay with The Dog Nanny!! Now Libby’s owners insisted she was an outside only dog but...... I have never met a dog more insistent that she is infact an inside dog. ... After speaking with her owners, it was decided that Libby could indeed choose to be whatever kind of dog she wanted to be whilst with The Dog Nanny. So Libby spent her time, following me about the house, snoozing, snoring and suddenly becoming very puppy like whenever there was food around!! Fellow beagle owners will know exactly what I’m taking about!!

Friday will be a dachshund/small dogs only day!! 8:30am-5pm Remaining available spots are limited so get in quick!! 03.01.2022 You guys!! Look at this little mans face!! Marrow is a 6 month old pug who is just absolutely in love with life and everyone he meets!! 02.01.2022 The Dog Nanny was certainly kept entertained during this boys visit!! Ves is very true to his breed, confident, courageous, busy and just a touch of small dog syndrome. He and our daughter refused to be separated and spent many hours playing with toys, barking and giggling. ... We hope to see you again very soon at Doggy Daycare Ves!!
