17.01.2022 After a few failed attempts and exhaudting our marketing budget* I've nailed the message! 9 years ago the doors to TDFTG were opened on Glen Osmond Road, and while those doors are now closed, the business still survives, albeit in a very pared down version. It has been a wild ride with so many highs, a few lows, a lot of fun and lots of grey hairs (you never quite breathe properly until your clients have finished their trip and made it home safely) from natural disasters..., terrorism, volcano ash, airline strikes,, train strikes, car crashes, hotel fires, no snow, too much snow, pandemics, civil unrest, missed flights, missed boyfriends at home, exuberant youthful antics, European refugee crisis, the list goes on, and now a pandemic. But mostly it has been fun and rewarding. The current situation that we find ourselves in will pass, and while travel will probably be very different - more carefully and care free - we will be out exploring again. Im just excited that I've nearly processed all of our clients refunds. Its been a long drawn out, mentally draining procees clawing back refunds from airlines, tour companies, small European hotels etc, but after 11 months we are nearly at the end, which will be a big relief of a lot of stress. I the meantime, while your traveling locally, or interstate, don't forget to talk to your local travel agent, you may not think it's worth it to them, but to them it may be what keeps them going to pay the ongoing bills.
