While social distancing laws are now in full swing here in Melbourne - Australia, people are becoming mindful that health and mental well being is critical during these unprecedented times. While serious recreational and competitive cyclists turn to indoor training options such as zwift and trainer road, all cyclists need to be aware of what is acceptable and what is not during these times of social distancing. On 18 March 2020, Cycling Austra...lia announced that bunch rides of fewer than 10 riders was recommended, and to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres. Since then, the Australian Government has announced that exercise should only be performed outdoors with people you live with. Another consideration, given that many cyclists can frequently travel at and beyond 25Kp/h, the eBike Butler recommends extending the 1.5 metre distance as much as possible to look after yourself and your loved ones. If you still have essential travel requirements, whether it be for work, essentials, or to keep the family entertained and active, the eBike Butler can provide ebikes that could be a much safer option than public transport at the present time. All our bikes and accessories are disinfected before and after all hire in the interest of our own health and yours. You are welcome and encouraged to use disinfectant on all touch points such as handlebars, break leavers, LCD screens saddles and helmets during your hire. We practice social distancing when delivering and use disposable gloves when handling your bike. Sure, it's a difficult time we are all going through, however it's great to see the community getting out and getting active. From birthday drive buys to innovative indoor training programs, it seems that the community spirit is in good health. Stay safe and look after one another!
