On the river we watch Black swans who raised 4 cygnets this year, a cormorant plays from underwater with the seagulls who cash in on his catches. Stingrays and fish are around the pontoon. Magpies and parrots keep us amused from the trees.

01.01.2022 Have not seen Cockatoos in the neighbourhood before, possibly displaced by fires. The air here is thick with smoke. Without seasonal rains everything is suffering. Australia- dry one year and saturated the next. Always fascinating.
