21.01.2022 Lower back pain and knee osteoarthritis trial is looking for participants. The Discipline of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in collaboration with Wes...tern NSW Local Health District is looking for adults who live outside metropolitan areas and have back pain and/or knee pain to take part in a study. The research offers free online physiotherapy treatment (e-health) during three months including eight remotely delivered consultations and implements to exercise at home. You only need to have internet access and an electronic device with a camera like a smartphone, tablet or PC. They want to learn how to best use e-health to help patients struggling with low back pain, the number and the cause of the disability in the world, and/or knee pain associated with osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis. They hope the study will show if e-health supported care can improve physical function and pain for people with low back pain or knee osteoarthritis who live outside a big city. After completing the baseline questionnaire participants will be placed into one of two groups (1) the e-health supported group or (2) the usual care group. How can you participate? Go www.theempowerstudy.com and click start awareness. If you have questions please send an email to [email protected]
