17.01.2022 Have you ever wanted to try a coloured frame, but felt it would clash with clothing or date too quickly? This is one of the most commons reasons people avoid updating their eyewear look. . There are many ways to wear colour that works naturally with your skin colour, hair colour, fashion sense and more. One way, is by having your frame highlight more than just one colour, like the one I’m wearing here. . You can see that the main colour on the front is purple, with orange ...as a highlight colour. When you move, you catch different levels of each colour, which makes the look a lot more versatile. You can find many frames that do this with contrasting colours and it’s a great way to experiment without being ‘locked in’ to only one colour tone. . Another way to ease into wearing colour is to look at trying a metal frame over an acetate option. Generally speaking, metal frames can be thinner, meaning the colour of the frame isn’t as bold as it would be with a thick, solid acetate material. By trying colour with a thinner frame, it will work as a highlight for your face rather than a full blown loud colour statement. . As always, experimenting with a new look in eyewear takes time, and trying on multiple options before making a decision is crucial. Be objective with colour tones, but try to focus on what works with your natural features rather than what clothing you wear. . 06.01.2022 Bring on summer!!! . There haven’t been too many warm days just yet, but this was one of the few! . I took advantage of the sun and took a few quick pics of this absolute stunner from @paultayloreyewear .... . These handcrafted sunnies are a statement that will go from beach to party without skipping a beat. And it’s mainly due to the amazing patterns through the acetate ( swipe through pics to see close ups). . It’s actually a crystal clear frame, with specs of black and white through it to form this transcendent look. The shape is the classic super round which has made its way back into the ‘trending’ styles. It’s quite a large size, but if I can get away with it, almost anyone can! . What I love about Paul Taylor eyewear is that Paul pays attention to the details and creates each piece with a particular person or identity in mind. This results in a collection of eyewear that shows not only style and beautiful quality, but also pieces that have their own energy which carries over to the wearer. . 02.01.2022 Sunday perfection . This frame from @mitaeyewear is the perfect Sunday staple. Pictures just don’t do it justice; the quality of the finished product is for some reason impossible to capture! . The matte ballet-pink finish reminds me of the days in dance halls as a teenager, prepping new pointe shoes amongst leotards and hairpins. But, back to the frame ... . Stylish enough to dress up or down, yet still easy enough to throw on without a second thought, the shape of this frame is one that will last years as look amazing on almost everyone. . The tortoiseshell temples contrast well with the pink front and give the finished look a little more depth. I think if the temples were also pink it would be too much. . This frame is very lightweight and comfortable on the bridge, with a secure hug-like fit on top of the ears, even for those like me with a thin head. . This is a great style option for those of you wanting a change, without opting for a bright or dark colour. The matte finish adds a point of difference to a traditionally shiny acetate, and the natural pink tone is a softer option than a black or tortoiseshell. .
