01.01.2022 In these strange and ever-changing times, taking steps to take care of our health is VITAL, and one of the ways to show ourselves self-love. Unfortunately, with lockdown imposed here in the south, levels of anxiety are on the rise but there are simple steps to get through this, keep your immunity at its best, and maybe even get yourself feeling and looking better than perhaps you imagined. Get as much sleep as you can Take catnaps if you need to and if this is available to... you Drink lots of fluids to keep yourself well hydrated. (sorry, didn’t mean lots of alcohol) No gyms, no outdoor exercise, but you can stay active at home with floor exercises, and there are loads of online exercises classes that you can do from the comfort of home, maybe try something new (if you can get out to shop) Stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables Add fresh garlic, ginger, turmeric and herbs to your meals and juices. These pungent spices are loaded with immunity boosting qualities Slow down and breathe. Breathing slowly and exhaling fully will help to keep you calm Reflect on what’s going well in your life and everything you have to be grateful for. Wherever you are, be safe and be well. See more
