25.01.2022 So we are back in lockdown again here in Melbourne for another 6 weeks, but this time I have my makeup kit with me . I haven’t had a chance to do much playing around with SFX, blood, body paint, or beauty makeup over the last couple of years while I’ve been travelling. So I figured if I can’t travel and can’t leave the house then I may as well take advantage of unlimited makeup time! . I’m aiming to do 1 look for every day in lockdown see how we go!! This is Day 6... so far, but I did this fun comic book look and a few other FX and beauty looks already. 18.01.2022 The soft and natural look that I did yesterday for my little birthday photo shoot I did halfway through the day. Had fun playing around with some of my portrait lenses and the lighting and really enjoyed the sneaky balloons in the background hehe . I had an amazing birthday, filled with so much laughter, fun, and happiness! I spent the day with my best friend and partner in crime, who took me on a sunrise and sunset walk, had an epic interstate virtual movie marathon wit...h my family and squeezed in a little makeup look too. . Isolation birthday was actually pretty awesome! . 17.01.2022 Channeling those festival vibes while I pretend 2020 never happened . For reals though... stay strong everyone. And reach out if you ever need to talk or chat. . Lockdown, restrictions on physical touch, social limitations, and the constant and intense nature of media updates at the moment can all take its toll. As can the impacts of covid on peoples employment status, work environment, social life, and study goals. So many of us are struggling right now, and some mo...re than others. You are not alone! . If you are like me, someone who has to keep themselves busy AND be outside or at the very least NOT HOME as much as possible to stay sane and happy then you are probably struggling too. I’m trying to rekindle old hobbies and passions, to focus on eating as healthy as I can, and forcing myself to exercise in ways I don’t usually prefer to try and stay afloat. Whatever it takes to keep that positive state of mind going and to fight off the negative and depressive thoughts that creep in. We can do this! . Love you all! 16.01.2022 This look ended up a lot more abstract than I had planned, and I actually really love it. . I really enjoyed putting this one together, and ended up getting lost in the contours and shapes while I was painting it in a way that really felt like creating art, on a human canvas. . I’m soooo loving having my creative vibes going again and can’t wait for the next look! ... . P.s I really struggled to pick which shots for this look... 05.01.2022 Second makeup look for the week, this time delving into my love and passion for blood & gore and prosthetics. . It’s been a while, but I wanted to do something small and intricate that wasn’t too overwhelmingly intense, but that I hoped looked really realistic. I hand sculpted this directly onto my skin before painting and applying blood, using several @kryolanofficial products and other favourites from my FX kit. . What do you guys think?
