06.01.2022 NRL RETURN - FAIR PLAY? What do fans think of the NRLs push to begin the Season May 28? We will soon have 30 players per squad plus coaches, trainers, officials etc from 16 teams tackling, touching & belting the sh*t out of each other. ... The argument is that any infection with the players will be traceable but the Teams will not be living in a bubble & throughout the process they will be living with their families who will attend workplaces & shops with their kids in schools. Meanwhile in the State where the games will be played, Gladys & the NSW Government have not confirmed when cafes & restaurants will re-open but when they do, they will be limited to 10 people. Pubs in NSW; the State that the NRL games are played will not open for another 8 weeks minimum, potentially longer & countless other workplaces are shutdown. We are sports fans & we miss the footy as much as anyone. We also get that Scomo wants to see his Cronulla team run around again while knocking back a 6 pack at the Lodge (with some UberEats from Engadine Maccas). But it all seems to us that there are oddly misplaced priorities..... So our question is - - Do you think this it is right that the NRL will return in 3 weeks time? - Are you OK with it going ahead if the rest of society re-opens or do you think it should go ahead regardless of what else happens in society? - Or you don't give a toss as long as they get the footy back on & bring back the biff? We are keen to hear some feedback?
